I put the Borgeson power steering unit in my ‘71 4-speed convertible Corvette. It was a great improvement in steering feel, especially on-center.

Great looking build. Same color as my 71! The upgrades are all great and those rear Van Steel trailing arms are awesome. How come you didn't go with Van Steel front arms as well? I have complete suspension kit from them and it is awesome.

The rear tire/wheel assembly you have looks like they would be super handy to use during the restoration process. Really gets the tire out of the way and a lot of room for access in the wheel wells. Are those just space saver spares being re-used, or are they made for the purpose?

What do you guys use to strip a vehicle down to bare metal?

It depends on the project. We've recently been using a dustless blast technique, which uses high pressure water and fine glass bead to remove the paint. On big sections fo body panels, we still use DA sanders and strip by hand to ensure the panels are not warped. We use chemical strippers on difficult areas like the underside of hood bracing, etc. Could be a good video idea, thanks for the question.

Why the orange plastic rear wheels🤔

Those are steel wheels, but just "rollers" to allow us to move the car around the shop before we get the actual custom wheels made. These also have universal bolt patterns, so we can use them on multiple cars.

Its not a 'roadster'. Its just a convertible. Like all Corvettes. There is nothing unique about this one other than that its a convertible not a 'roadster'.

A roadster, by definition, is a 2 seater with a folding top. It's also a convertible.
