This was probably the best video i found explaining these. I was scared to file for TBI after having a 70% PTSD rating due to people telling me the VA can take away my PTSD and give me a lower TBI rating. Thank you for this information

Great information. Wish this was available years ago. Had to do all my research myself. I am 100% with IU.. The system is very confusing. I served 20 years and thought the military system was a pain. VA has the military system beat. Been tryng to start a business. VA says because I am total and permanent I do not qualify. Said I would lose my 100%. I said I did not care. I want to have a purpose. Been retired since 1996. They approved me prior then took it away. Anyway I tell fellow veterans all the time about your channel Keep up the great videos.

I get where you're coming from. Im 90% with IU. I'm not trying to sound greedy, but things are getting more expensive but I'm not getting paid more. It would be nice if I could have a side hustle. I can't live off of the wages in my area and can't move like I used. I tried when I got out. Construction jobs are too much on me if I did it everyday. Mom and pop businesses will screw you if you don't pay attention to your hours. Big box stores are so competitive that they won't hire those who may threaten their job. Businesses around here only pay enough to make you wanna come back to work. It's either watch as inflation takes our whole check or try and make side cash. Something has got to give.

Neurological Disorder and Mental Disorder. It's funny because I have been diagnosed and service connected with both. However, because the symptoms can't be separated. I ultimately got 70% PTSD and 40% TBI. All was considered a mental condition and was given the higher of the two. Migraines, eye condition, and dizziness were all swept under TBI and essentially erased.

That totally explains why I was service connected for TBI, and submitted a PTSD claim. They ordered C&P exam, and then 4 month later ordered another + additional TBI with brackets of (Increase) next to it. No idea what’s going on for sure though. I was in a grenade attack that disabled my vehicle and range my bell.

I've been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, anxiety and panic attacks through the VA but they're saying it's not service connected, however, I filed for SSDI and won for PTSD. I don't understand why the VA will not service connect me. I've filed 4 times and saw 4 different C & P Dr.'s I have been fighting this since 2010 and I was in the Gulf War as a Hospital Corpsman on the Mercy. My brother and several other people that I know did NOT go to war and they got 100%. I'm so frustrated

I got rated at 10% for my TBI back in 2019, but I was denied for PTSD. But now I'm in therapy, and seeing a neurologist. So I'm doing diligence in getting the documentation and getting these conditions service connected (which I didn't do before). I'm also getting a sleep study done too, because I have restless legs, and they're also checking for sleep apnea. My therapist has diagnosed me with PTSD too. Also, my wife has written a buddy letter on my behalf stating all my struggles. And I wrote my own statement as well. Having said all this, what do you guys suppose my chances are of getting a 100% rating? And yes, I check all the boxes of serious symptoms for both TBI and PTSD, including almost constant suicidal ideation. What do you estimate my chances of getting 100% are? And is there anything specific I can do in my C&P exam to increase my chances? I'm desperate here, guys. Working has become pretty much impossible for me. Any advice you can give me to help me get to 100% would be greatly appreciated.

What if my TBI and ptsd are completely different matters? I suffered a TBI/ injury blow to the head and have never been the same since. And my PTSD is from a completely different stressor situation? Would this be two separate claim ratings?

@@journeyto100channel2 they can be seperate, for instance.. I have ptsd from a totally seperate situation. Also have a brain injury from a concussion and suffer from atypical migranes , they would rate the 2 separately. As long as the ptsd claim is from a different situation that occurred. Because ptsd and tbi often have same symptoms. They easily get mingled together.

@@itzzjh__ thank you very much. Same with my situation, I have suffered Abuse in my Unit during deployment. My Team Leader had me on the Ground and (maybe) he was suffering with some Bad Anger I think. Well anyway he Started to push his Boot on the back of my head as to Teach me a Lesson to not Mess up a PowerPoint, and he just ended up Tapping then Stomping on the back of my Head as for a Lesson to learn. I gave up with the Position of Plank and ended up in my Chest after Minutes on the ground. He started to Stomp, I didn’t say anything because I was Kinda Out of Conscious, and just wanted the misery to stop. I torn an ACL, meniscus the first month in that deployment, so my PFTs/CFTs Suffered as well as myself with extreme pain and flareups. As for punishment I would Stand Duty the whole 12 Hours after Popping a whole bottle of Pain/ Sleeping meds to sleep away the pain. I fell asleep and after the 12 Hour shift was up I would get Arm/Legged lock from his Puregroup amd I would get Hit so many times in my face until I would lay on my gear unconscious and try to come to and get out of my confusion. My Leadership called me out to see them, I unfortunately told them that I just simply fell on my Rifle during are QRF Training.. they knew exactly what Happened but they knew I would keep on going and not Put the Platoon in a Messed up Legal Situation… I was torn completely. I would get Choked out until I felt Tingling in my head and my eyes wanted to pop. I wished for a long time I would have just died that moment. I felt like a Fucking Dog. I dealt with too much Abuse and I couldn’t trust my own Leadership. I just wanted to be a Motivated Marine like the Dude next to me. But my experience was far off of what I wanted.. I wish I can’t just simply tell my VA doctor this but vocally Is so challenging and hard to explain it when I’m voicing it out, it’s easier to write it down. Sorry for long rant.. I hope nobody has to deal with bullshit like I did

I was first diagnosed with TBI in 2008 and given a 10% rating. VA filed an increase exam for me. Just saw my C&P exam for a TBI increase. The doc marked 2 of the residuals at the highest severity. According to this video, should I expect a 100% rating? If so, would it automatically be P&T? Thanks for all the great info.
