There are some free Independent curriculums and others you can buy that walk you and your child(ren) through each school year. Look for these books and others in your children's school libraries. This happens everywhere and has been going on for a long time. Our child's innocence was stolen by something that was taught in the curriculum. I didn't discover it until it was part of a test. Never again, we homeschooled after that incident. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. That child is a 42 year-old parent now and homeschooling their own children.

You are correct. My child brought a book home to show me when she was in 5th grade public school (1992), I went into the school and addressed the matter. Not sure if the book continued to be off the shelf or not, but the teacher defended the book. Homeschooling was my choice next school year. I have two grown adult children, both say, "Thank you for homeschooling." Both are very successful. Yes, you are ABSOLUTELY correct, this HAS been going on for years. Our true hope is Christ as the center of our lives, in our homes, loving the babies we have been blessed to have in our care, instilling God values, offering grace upon grace through the journey, staying the course. Family First with Christ at the center. The end result is a blessing that is greater than anything money can buy❣

Found it. I did a search on YT for " mayor school board" and found videos about it. It was in a town called Hudson, according to the titles of some of the videos. I didn't take the time to watch any to find out what state it's in. But...there's the starting point for the search for anyone interested. Searching YT is pretty easy. Just use a word/words that pertain to the subject or that might be in the title and see what comes up. Doesn't always yield the results you seek, but it's a start.👍🏻

I'm in Henrico, I took my children out of that nonsense years ago because I saw this happening. Be aware that k12 is also sending books to you that aren't ok, so far not as bad as this but I don't know the whole supply list.(k12 let's you decide to not have that in their supplies, but you need to be aware. So k12 is still a better option.) The running democratic candidate says "parents shouldn't tell schools what to teach their children". So speak up and don't elect someone who allows the government to choose for you what is best for your child's wellbeing. My children aren't allowed to watch some commercials because it's everywhere now. We must oppose this now before it's too late.

I worked with a Librarian- Librarian has the choice- and watch out- Library Systems have an agenda! I was told- if parents ask what their child is reading, that I was not allowed to tell them- by the Library school system, that multiple Schools are apart of. Librarian has the ability to get rid of any book they choose. So sad! I weeded books out of the elementary Library that you wouldn't believe was in a Library for Kindergarteners!
