Marriage is necessary but for practical purposes, it has nothing to do with the divine. Marriage needs to be contract driven and transactional completely and the parties involved need to define the terms and conditions of the contract. It should be completely independent from the dogmas of religion. I have heard and read Osho, even done some of his meditation courses. He said many revolutionary things. But then again when I as someone in my mid 30ies hear him or his followers nowadays then I realise that many things that he said was connected to the "Zeitgeist" of their time or were just assumptions. Which prove to be a disastrous like the communism for which his followers have soft corner. Beside that I want to add that the women liberation movement in the west is not what he is describing in his opinion. Even in the 60ies in the most of western countries women were not so free. I grew up in Europe and even now you wouldn't see women in tech companies (in tech roles) in almost every european country. Most of their followers in the west were the upper middle class people from broken families. Enforcement of religiouspractices in the west was way worse than in India. If you would talk to a german or french you would get to know how strict their parents regarding religion were in the 70ies.

Kuch osho ke miracle ko ye badah chadah kr batate... Maine English ka interview dekha usme osho khe rhe the.. mai in sabka chejo ka use isliye krta Enlightenment, god, stories... To attract people... So vo meri philosophy of life atleast sun ske.... Ye thoda convincing hai.... As a any leader you have to lure people by any mean... If most of the people want to experience something or believing in god or other supernatural thing... As a cult( in a good way or a bad its subjective) you have to use there desires for something good..

The interviewee is indeed spreading a chaos in the minds of those people who's family system is not functional properly from the parents side. Few years back when I was young I would have also agreed but after growing up one starts realising the importance of a companion who can be your friend and guide. In such case, all the ideology which the interviewee is trying to explain with slow voice and conviction sounds ridiculous but nothing can be done as raising the family at old age become difficult.
