@AlbinoVEVO5 жыл бұрын
One thing to note about tip 15, if you spam block, your deflect timing window will stagnate temporarliy (less frames), meaning you will be much less likely to land a deflect if you use this method than if you were to try timing it properly. I would recommend holding block, and then releasing it and re-applying it quickly when you think an attack is going to land, that way you're safe from fast attacks that could catch you off-guard. Great video though!

The Genichiro fight on the top of Ashina Castle was one of the greatest boss fight experiences I’ve ever had. I had been struggling and struggling for days against him. Then one day the whole game just kind of clicked. I had to stop rushing through the fight and take it more like a dance, and I had to start treating my dance partner with more patience and let him make the mistakes. This game is awesome and I love it.

Blocking and parrying for most enemies, outrunning huge and fast enemies, using prosthetics against enemy gadgets, using prosthetics as gadgets it situations get out of hand, dodging sideways for enemies who mainly rely on strong vertical attacks, mikirin counters against spears, etc. ... Honestly I think deflecting is a lot easier in this game, except maybe for DS3's caestus. What annoys me to no end is that this time around that makes the game even harder to keep up with, since bosses will casually eat a perfect parry like it's nothing and continue their 10-hit combos, or even worse, just melt 60% of your HP with a single hit.

A major tip for people grinding away at a boss and don’t want to lose their experience is the exp only reduced on death to the beginning of the exp point. If you have 5 points, then unless you spend them it cannot go below 5 points. So if you are grinding between bosses grind to the very next level and then no more to avoid wasting exp.

Reason why it's harder than Dark Souls: DS you ONLY focused on pressing dodge by timing the enemy's actions. Sekiro you MUST focus on the correct actions, from Dodging/Block/Jumping, or else you will be punished. Therefore your brain has to learn to prepare & react to all variety of actions at the right time. Dark Souls you can lay back and just think about pressing that Dodge button only.

@ketherga5 жыл бұрын
@@robertpendli340 This is absolutely not true. Sekiro makes you pay attention, if you do you'll find that almost every boss and miniboss has dead moments where you can get behind them and attack. This can't be blocked and you usually have enough time to get off a thrust attack. If you have the presence of mind though, Ichimonji has the same wind up as a thrust, does more damage and posture damage, and recovers your posture. Nightjar reversal has the same wind up and lets you make enough distance that most bosses can't hit you. Senpo leaping kick is just- really good. It's just good, in fact it might be the best combat art int he game. Because it comes off instantly, takes you out of most enemy's attack arcs and to my knowledge no enemy can parry out of the wind up for a thrust or sweep attack so as long as you don't wiff you will do damage to an enemy doing a sweep, which almost every boss does at some point in their patterns. Combat arts are awesome and you should be using them.
@robertpendli3405 жыл бұрын
@@ketherga All of the hardest bosses in the game except the secret one, are fast humanoid types who have enough down time for exactly one attack, 2 if you got behind them and stun them with the first. There is not a single combat art fast enough to hit the final boss of the game, who is by far the hardest (not sure about the one route that has a different final boss than the other three, from what I saw he's a easier as he doesn't have 4 god damn health bars). Against the slow bosses and minibosses, they're fine, but they're easy enough that you don't need the arts anyway and it's just styling on them. Except for Ichimonji (as its free, though so god damn slow(if it didn't deal bonus posture damage when blocked it would be the worst of them all)), none of them deal enough damage to either posture or vitality to justify their time cost or their spirit cost, you'd be better of dealing standard hits in nearly every instance, as even when you can hit with them, they are too slow and will cause you to miss the sweet spot where you can deal full damage, and instead deal heavily reduced damage.

@@Projectarchan Nah, both got their ups and down. But yeah, if anything. I don't even get why people think it ripped anything off. They might be new to FromSoft and their games. They probably only compared it with Nioh due to the Japanese style and it being hard. But I gotta admit Nioh feels quite a lot easier and way more predictable after playing Sekiro and I finished Nioh on the first two difficulties on console.

Nioh did it better Nioh had player choice Sekiro is just a blockspam for a chance at a parry very big downgrade from FromSoft, such a disappointment
@woldas9215 жыл бұрын
@@Sapphire_Jack The same way ds1 was "just backstab fishing" and ds3 was "just panic rolling". If you need to blockspam to get a parry you should git gud

Very glad you have a very soft voice for this video. I don't feel like doing a backflip off a bridge as much anymore

Wow a tips and tricks video that's actually useful lol thanks man, this should help a lot. My tip is use the firecrackers on Gyoubu. His horse will freak out and you can get some hits in.

Taylor Cox another tip: Firecrackers work on just about anything to get a free hit. Bonus points on Animal like enemies
@vheataylorsyorkies72155 жыл бұрын
@@velo836 ah cool I didn't know that! I figured it worked on Gyoubo because of his horse and hadn't tried it on anything else except the Roosters lol loving the chasing strike with shuriken too, its way more useful then I expected.

I like this so much more than rolling around in circles; the trend Demon's souls began. I just wish they would keep enemies normal sized - this isn't a dwarf simulator.

0:14 "They tried to rip-off Nioh (...)" Oh my, this is hilarious, when Nioh was a Dark Souls rip-off in the first place. Great video and tips, by the way. It was amazing to see you destroying Lady Butterfly like that; the bitch gave me so much headache.

I never suspected you could actually block bullets until I decided to try it. Also a good alternative early-mid game farming area is the Ashina Castle Gate 3 rats done repeatedly. Great vid, Demon Bell shortcut is crucial info.

You can block/ deflect every attack but the symbol attacks but even some of those you can parry too
@ahmedsultani30283 жыл бұрын
Welp, that was my secret lol attack cancel. Not only it provides a safe play, but also helps you with timing the deflect perfectly. Superb content, man. Gladly subbed.
