My wife and I love going to timeshare presentations. Get a great suite for a cheap price. I set my watch for 90 mins, when they come with the price I already have the website for people selling their timeshare at the same resort. IF they can beat that price (which they can't) I will consider it. That usually ends the conversation right there.

It is a fraudulent company they offer you timeshare and it is a big lie if they offer you all that, you are throwing your money into the trash, I recommend you first look for information and get away from those according to precentrations that the only thing they want is to steal your money for life and leave them to your children a debt that they never chose to have there are millions of people trying to get out of this great scam that in the end it will be very expensive to get out of it very carefully

@@freesoul4346 Being nice people is no excuse. If the snake bites you, don’t stick your hand in the cage the next day. I mean seriously, she says that they bought it the first time because they kept them in there so long they just signed to get out! Are you kidding me? You have the freedom to get up and leave wherever you’re at unless you’re in prison. I’ve been to these before, I’ve listen to their garbage, I felt their pressure, once the 90 minutes is up I collect my free gift and I walk out. I don’t care if they say they’re going to talk to their manager one more time I know where the doors at and I know how to get a taxi (or Uber now a days)

Remember a few things about timeshare presentations; - you will end up paying for that gift with your time if nothing else. - a reps loyalty is to their commission, not to you or the resort. - many work on commission only, they are highly motivated to make the sale no matter what. - no wonder many are ready to say anything, promise anything, invent anything. - you'll hear a lot about luxury and relaxation. They'll spend hours (literally) showing you the amenities of resort and suites. Granite counter tops? You got it. Jacuzzi tubs? Absolutely. Impeccable housekeeping? It's yours. - you will NOT hear them tell you about rising maintenance fees, special assessments, scheduling challenges, or how hard it is to get out of the agreement. - they also don't like to mention the rescission period. That's the cooling off period during which the buyer can cancel their timeshare without penalty. Any money you pay will likely be held in escrow until the end of the rescission period. However, once the cooling off period ends, you're locked in and your money is theirs. So, you can see why they might want to keep that information to themselves. - I’m sure some people have bought a timeshare contract just to get out of the presentation and get back on vacation!!

I got this timeshare a few weeks ago. I went to my family because they promised us free food and 160 dollars. We knew what kinda meeting it was and we wanted to go because we wanted they money. We were prepared for everything. We wouldn't sign anything. A guy take us to a nice restaurant and started the brainwash. He said how amazing it was to have a property in Orlando and how amazing the new time share model is compared to the old one (he claims Brazilian companies offer old type of time share and it's not worth). We ended the lunch and we went to the resort. He showed us the apartment, a beautiful apartment by the way and started to show us how the time share works. He told us we would have some points and we could spend them all over the world. At this time we were convinced that we would not sign anything. But then he showed us a biannual plan, 74k points that we could spend and every 2 years we get another 74k. He was showing us a book with every single place we could go with those points. He said the most expensive was around 9k. He said we could get money with it because we are not the type of family who's traveling every year. He called another guy, maybe his Superior and this guy told us a lie. He said he was a rich guy in Brazil and he got fired. He went to the US with no money, washing dishes and saw this same time share as an opportunity to change his life, he bought one and started to make money with it and now he has more than 20. We got convinced that this whole thing was a great deal and we signed the contract. We paid 2800 dollars I think and we would pay 284 during 84 months. 3 days after we got back in Brazil and I started to search on the web about this time share and I saw people complaining about a lot of things. One of them said the cheapest place she found was 85k points. So we were basically paying for them a thing than we can't use because we only have 74k points. So we read the contract and we could cancel within 10 days after the purchase. We wrote the letter and sent to the right address. We didn't have any contact or confirmation of the cancellation so we went to the web again and started to search what was going on. A guy said he sent a letter and they just ignored him and if we wanted to get this damn thing cancelled we would have to get a lawyer. Look what a mess! We called our bank and told them what was going on and they asked us some documents proving that we were right. We sent the contract, the letter, the document proving that the letter got on the right address within 10 days and they took control over the situation. 2 days after they sent my mom an email confirming the cancellation. After all this my advice is: never go to this kinda meeting unless you wanna get a timeshare. They do a brainwash on you. I could search this timeshare at the meeting couldn't I? If I did that I'd see how bad this fucking thing was and we wouldn't sign anything. But they washed my brain, they washed everyone's brains! That's it. Sorry for any mistake I made on this text, English isn't my 1st language

I have gone to one time share meeting of couple hours North of my house when they promised full paid trip to Hawaii all exclusive, when I told him I would be recording the conversation so I had reference to go back to before making any decisions he ended the meeting and said I could not do that due to privacy laws. I have multiple sclerosis and have a hard time remembering and processing information and thats how I make sure I can't get screwed, The following monday I filed reports and complaints to the Better Business Bureau, The department of disability, And my lawyer. 4 months later they were shut down and their properties were also old to Westgate, Stay away from them people it is a scam!

I don’t understand anyone who can’t say No. They offered us a free breakfast at the country club and a bus trip to Key West for $20.00 for 2 people. The trip really interested us so we went for the sales talk. We made sure to take our own car so we didn’t have to depend on the salesperson. We sat through the whole thing and kept saying NO. The trip to Key West was great but we vowed never to go to another sales meeting. Pure Hell!

Went there and was ready to say no many time even before the meeting. We decided to continue with the brain washing experience in Orlando. My pregnant wife last month was complaining of feeling bad and they continued to waist time know how she was feeling. I was absolutely furious. They offered 35,000 initially, then the manager comes with a 12,000 time share.I obviously said no. I said this was scam to my wife. They lied they asked me to continue to get my gift with the next person. So we went and they asked me for 2500, I laughed and said they are willing to collect anything a this time and this time share ain’t worth the price. Had an absolutely terrible experience the time I stayed there. I wish the people who continue to go there say no like my wife and I. Will never request to stay there.

I also travel to the other resorts in Florida and Virginia for $139-$229 for 7 days. The rooms are usually pretty nice and I get a 7 day stay for the price of 1 night in a hotel that isn't nearly as nice. It's a nice way to spend my retirement, I have no complaints.

I see the issue with everyone who’s been scammed by a timeshare. The issue is that people are signing contracts based only on the word of the salesperson. This isn’t an app you download and just hit Accept. You’re signing a legal document and have to read everything and question the salesperson is something is off. Or just keep paying, i guess.

Wow, I knew RCI was bad, and I knew about the up-selling, but the results of doubling down is unreal. From a different angle, RCI rents their properties as hotels first and foremost, and owners are left with the off season scraps. The relatively small Jokey Club in Las Vegas has been selling timeshares for 40 years, you would think occupancy would be just about full, but there's hotel vacancy year around...

That night I read over the contract and pulled up reviews on the company. I read that I had 10 days to cancel. When we got home, I typed up a letter to cancel. I faxed and sent a certified letter. The Vacation Village Colonies at Williamsburg, VA saleswoman Jackie gave us "I'm not supposed to tell you this information" but if we were to hire her close, real estate, friend at Vacation Services International, he could easily sell our other timeshare with Westgate to pay for our purchase at Colonies. She said he could also sell our "bonus week" we would receive with a Colonies purchase to take care of the bill and the maintenance fee. We believed her. When confronting Colonies on these illegal practices, Colonies argues we had seven days to back out. They also argue that if we had informed the Closer that Jackie told us we could sell our Westgate easily, the Closer would have stopped the sale. Really? These people have broken Virginia law which forbids bait and switch tactics as well as fraud for profit tactics to make a sale.

I just never see the point with Airbnb and all the other sites to rent. I had a beautiful house with shared pool for £750 for 2 weeks in Cyprus. (2 bedrooms.) They even threw in, pickup and drop off and the airport.

I rented an entire flat in London (on the Thames literally balcony right over the river) for 6 weeks for 1,200 GBP for myself and my hubby. No timeshare can beat that. Can't even come close. I would never buy timeshare for that reason.
@neoplasma17 жыл бұрын
So basically you were taken hostage in a situation that you Should have control of IF you were strong. If you can't leave then give them some attitude, cross your arms and say no, no and no. Beat them at their own game. I'm just angry by all these testimony and I myself don't even have a timeshare. I'd like to go to one of these just to entertain myself

I went to one of these one time. I started my timer from my meeting start time. Told them I was not buying anything and when my 90 minutes were up, I walked out.

We bought a timeshare in 1983 it was for a week 2 bedroom. At first it did go good until we got divorced. The wife was going to take it every other year. She didn't and didn't pay any fees so it was me alone. Fast forward RCI changed over to points so my week is not good anymore, I had to buy points or use 2,two, years of my timeshare just to go to my own place where I bought. I told them no, I quit paying everything I got phone calls for about 3 years non stop but I didn't answer the phone. One girl found out she could talk when my outgoing message was on. Anyway after 3 years no one calls, every once in a while I get an out of town call so I call the number back and harass them. DONT BUY A TIMESHARE, their a rip off. Have a nice day

They told you 90 minutes and you let them keep you hostage for over 6 hours. You deserved what you got. On top of that, you let them do it to you a second time and for good measure, a third time. Nice. To top that bright move, you sent friends and family there to be subjected to the same thing you went through. Are they still your friends?

Are you able to get up and walk out? Or do they trap you in the room?
@boatsie3 жыл бұрын
The victims are “trapped” in the room by their own greed of wanting the “free gift” of a vacation; theme park tickets; cash or show tickets....they don’t want to walk away empty handed.

@ButterCookie19844 ай бұрын
After hearing many of these similar stories, I will say that timeshares are not a scam- they are 100% completely worthless with illegal contracting, YES. However, the "victim" willingly gives their bank information in a presentation, all becsuse they wanted something for "free".

Wow that is so sad and such a big scam; I just bought a Timeshare through Vida Vacations in Cancun Mexico at the Maya Palace Resort a 5 diamond resort. Do you guys know anything about it? I just bought it 3 days ago. I wonder if it has the same type of BS.
@ripwashington11638 жыл бұрын
Sorry I got back to you so late but check all paperwork. I would be very careful of your contract. We got duped into the same presentation and was so mad my wife pulled me out when we tried to cancel on the next day. Went after them with both barrels blazing and got my money back. It might be too late for you but I hope you can express this to tripadvisor and make sure you can use all the FREE trips they offered.

Im sorry for that but you signed a contract, forced, for tens of thousands, apparently you have money to throw away, i have a timeshare, cost 500 bucks, been to mexico twice, florida numerous times tennesee, out banks north carolina, colorado....RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!! Do you buy a car first time sitting down?

@TonyCasino7 жыл бұрын
let me get this right. you said you just bought it to get out of there because you were hungry ? wow that's so dumb.
@tammyames71357 жыл бұрын
What they do is send you an offer to come to florida for 7 days 6 nights you pay like 199 bucks they don't tell you its a time share until you are there, then once you are there you have to go to the timeshare or they charge you for your whole vacation at the resort which is like 250 per day with taxes. once you go to one of these presentations you are stuck for however long they want to banter you. We were not the only ones we were there for 8 hours and yes was hungry and had kids at the hotel that were hungry as well.

I paid $700 for my timeshare on eBay and my maintenance fee is $600 a year currently. I love it. Independent on Cape Cod July 4th week 26 every single year.

We got scammed the same way. They act like points are so much better, but I couldn't find anywhere to stay with my points unless I wanted to pay an extra 600.00! Maintenance fees go up every year and points worth less. I called a hotel and got it 50. cheaper than the same hotel through Vacation Village. Scam!!!

Obviously it's not "junk" because your paying your hard earned money on it. That's not junk... my best advice is too sell or get rid of it completely. Get hard on them. Show them urgency and let them know you want answers, and you want to sell it, or get rid of everything. Keep fighting and see them personally and get your answers

OMG, I am watching in 2021 do you still own this? I never sat through a timeshare presentation. A hotel I stayed at kept trying to get me to sit in one. I was afraid to go but, no way would I sit through several hours GET UP AND LEAVE!!!!! people say they won't let you leave Hello 911. After getting scammed why would you send friends/family COME ON. Thanks for the video to warn others.
@sharonh29914 жыл бұрын
I think the hard core sales people convince buyers that this is fractional ownership, that they’re actually part owners in the property. I say this because someone told me one time that he owned a condo in Florida but he eventually described it as a timeshare. Timeshares are NOT fractional ownership.
