Wow!! I usually hate every one of these types of videos and usually cringe and close them, but this was actually impressive asf. It captured each band member's playstyle and writing style w/ their respective instruments & that is some serious talent. I'm a musician/songwriter myself and I am very impressed. Not only can you create new classic-Blink music for yourself, but this comes a lot closer to capturing all elements of OG Blink than Blink themselves seems capable of in recent times. The one element farthest from the original is Tom's voice imo, but it was still better than most or likely all impressions i've heard. Most people just pitch-hike vocals or jump several octaves rather than adjust the style of shaping the words. Personally, I would lay a 2nd Tom vocal track behind that that can be used to "harmonize" (so to speak) behind certain little spots where you feel like you're missing something with the impression. it's hard to explain what i mean and tom doesn't do that, so i can see why you wouldn't wanna for realism purposes, but there's certain accented annunciations/slurs (often at the end of a line) where you capture a lot of the impression and obviously tom does it in one track, but i feel like a second track behind it, saying it slightly differently could fill in the really hard parts to perfect. Even if the track is quiet.

My oldest son was a toddler when VC released it and he gravitated to it (along with NoFX Bob, Flogg’n Molly Drunk’n Lullabies, The Clash Train in Vain) and has grown to share my ear for power pop / pop punk / ska punk. All of those genres sharing a core of song structure. Thank you for doing this. As others have said, a cover album needs to find it’s way to my ears.
