For whatever reason it gets me up, even when I don’t want to get out of bed bc I don’t want to face the world. I also listen to this song when I’m feeling down too. That’s really when I focus on. It reminds me of loss, moving on, the ones that we miss, the people that still linger even when it’s time to let go. Hell, maybe that’s why I like to listen to it in the morning. Covid just hit, got laid off, found me a new job at the local ingles. I took a major pay cut and was very worried about how I was going to pay all the bills. something about this song every time i hear it. no matter how many times i listen, i am always overcome with the same mysterious emotion of reminiscence, it makes me feel joy and upset at the same time. it gives me a sick feeling and reminds me of people from a really good time in my life. it reminds me of the things i’d do to be able to be with them or experience at least half of it once more. i can never get sick of this song. i miss my first love n what we could’ve been. i miss how i felt when i was with him. but hey people come and go right. he isn’t entirely gone. he’s still there, just the bond isn’t. one day a day will come where i turn this song on and the first thing that comes up to my mind is not him or a flood of misery. the instrumental has some sort of emotion to it that puts the nostalgic romanticizing feeling in place and i love it so much. one day i will be happy and appreciate every small gift life has to offer me, such as this song.

I had the same thing with another girl I met her through my best friend in a game group we used to have we would all play different games together online we really didn't start talking till about a year later when nobody else was on and we would just regularly start playing games and talking online for a few months and we just clicked we had so many things in common and we would talk alot about a ton of different things we just felt so comfortable with each other eventually I started to fall for her and one day I decided to just confess I had never had the confidence or balls to do this with any other girl but I just decided to own up to it and tell her and it turned out she felt the same for a long time before I even started liking her she was the best thing that ever happened to me we just understood each other so well and were happy with each other she was a beautiful, smart, funny and chill girl who liked video games like me she was 1 in a billion and eventually I got the chance to finally meet up in person with her with the og friend group on the fourth of July to go to anime expo we had a great time it was one of the happiest days of my life we held hands and had our first kiss later that night she had lived in Idaho and I had lived in California so we were far from each other and we only had that one day and the next we would leave I had went home and we talked over the phone for a few days and I really messed up things with her parents from some false rumors that were spread she was so upset and my mom and her were on the phone and things did not go good my parents talked to hers and her family was completely against them they agreed that she would never be able to talk or play with me again me and her never had any problems I loved her so much and so did she it was The most perfect relationship I miss her everyday and i wish to god that I could have her back in my life that time I saw her was the first and last time I ever saw her she made me feel complete and I hope I can get her back someday there was no better girl for me out there I love you Aaliyah
