Thank you once again for sharing Alexander. What a gorgeous timepiece!, the blue really pops with the rose gold It just oozes elegance. That radial winding rotor looks similar to the Bvugari Octo Finissimo 103068 rotor, the best way I guess to keep the movement slim and we get to see more of the movement. I noticed the blue screw on the tourbillon cage and thought that was for the seconds, you actually highlighted that in the detailed description, a rare occasion when I was right! I'm not much into gold watches which is just as well as I doubt I will be able to afford this piece. A wonderful watch though.
@WatchAdvisor3 жыл бұрын
That winding rotor goes back to the famous/legendary Calibre 2120 ... Calibre 2120 was introduced in 1967 as the result of a project led by Jaeger-LeCoultre, with the technical contribution of Audemars Piguet and the funding of Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin, for the creation of an ultra-thin automatic movement....

@@WatchAdvisor Although, I couldn’t afford one 6 months ago either. A friend of mine showed me an Instagram page that is dedicated to celebrities and their watches. I didn’t notice any VC’s. I said to him, VC is the best brand that is still somewhat under the radar. I don’t understand why they don’t get the recognition they seem to deserve?
@WatchAdvisor3 жыл бұрын
@Barry Lattuca It is irrational and difficult to understand - yes! Some brands get all this recognition since around them a lucrative non official parallel business has been built ... Staring from the involved ADs, their flippers and resellers ... they all earn good money with it. Nota bene: it is GREEDY business, nothing more! To keep it going you must fuel it every day with more and more stupid stories/celebrities/ ... This has nothing to do with reality! It is artificial built business! Best to do is NOT to participate and concentrate on honest brands that are spared from it ...
@barrylattuca53523 жыл бұрын
@@WatchAdvisor Agreed. It really doesn’t make any economic sense. It’s probably just how many human beings are wired. A three hand AP is really worth more than twice what a three hand VC is worth? How can that be? Or 5 times what a GP Laureato is worth? Completely irrational. I don’t know why, maybe it’s just the contrarian in me? But, when something receives that much hype and everyone wants it, I lose interest. I would prefer to find the hidden jewel that has escaped pop culture fame. That’s why I love your videos with the CEO of JLC and many other under the radar under appreciated brands. Such as, VC, GO, and even Lange. They are catching on. But, they are still under appreciated, in my opinion.

Yes, it's a beautiful piece. But for me there is something a little _perverse_ about making an aqua-sports watch in precious metal. And with a delicate tourbillon caliber too!? This runs counter to the supposed function of the watch, does it not? :-0 (Of course it's not just a criticism of VC, you can say the same about all of the other makers who produce "sports watches" like this.)
