I had a former boss who swore synthetic 10w40 was the same thing as JB Black Gold 🤦♂️ he literally acted like I was some kind of primadonna because I wanted vacuum pump oil for my vacuum pump. Dude even went as far as trying to pour synthetic motor oil into the shit and contaminated a gallon of good pump oil. He really was convinced they were the same

Jim on residential refrigerators we have to connect vaccum pump refrigerant tank and high and low side hoses and pull a vacuum on it all to avoid infiltration. The hydrocarbon refrigerant hoses are even smaller than the standard 1/4 hoses. There's got to be a better way?

What do you think of rx-11 flush, followed by a bunch of nitrogen?

I have heard you say that moisture in a system takes TIME to evacuate, "..no matter what you're using." Is that true on a system that's been open to the atmosphere somewhat but not directly had water put in the system? I would think that the better hoses and gauge would help in any situation.

As long the systems open, the oil will act as a sponge and pull moisture. Poe oil is worse than mineral oil.
