Yup! Me and my long hair AND my teen daughter and her long hair. And the dog. And the cat! DYSON WORKS YALL! I put mine through it. I have never cleaned mine this thoroughly though and we've had it for a few years. But we only have 2 bedrooms with carpet in our house. The rest are rugs. And I love our Dyson stick vac too! But for the deep down for real clean, not the everyday swipe or spill clean up, I gotta go with the Dyson.

My mothers vacuum stopped working. I took it apart to fix it, and her previous caregiver cleaned it and put it back together then used it. It had that rock hard mud in there, in addition to carpet power caked all over the washable filter. I have no idea how long someone was using that to clean for her. Cleaning it up and letting everything air dry a couple of days made it work like new!

A seam ripper is pretty helpful to use as well because it can get inside those smaller spaces!

I saw this vacuum after you and a couple others used it in videos, I wanted it for a while and my husband surprised me with it for Christmas! Sounds like a bad gift to some people, but I’m a SAHM and any tool that makes my jobs easier is so exciting to me!! I LOVE it 10/10 will never buy a corded vacuum again!!

Get the hair free head. As a gal with long hair that tangles up the Roomba, stick vac and barrel vacuums I got a run out model Dyson at Christmas for $400 off the already reduced price with a tangle free head and it is brilliant. No detangling hair and clumps of dust. Love my Dyson.

I have a Shark NV750. Amazing vacuum. Whichever vac you have, buy a 2nd set of filters. I wipe out my canister and wash filters every other week. I pop in extra filters and let other set air dry so vac is always ready. I have long hair & a German Shepherd. Talk about hair! Most of the hair wrapped around beater bar is mine.

Keeping your Dyson clean inside will keep it in 'like new' condition for many years to come. Just don't force anything apart, there's no need for intense prying or pressure on the internal parts. If it doesn't twist off or come off easily, you're doing it wrong, or you missed a retaining screw. Dyson optimizes it's cleaning power through a combination of smart design features implemented throughout each unit. Get to know it and keep it clean in there. Everything will work together perfectly, every time. Aerosol Dust Off is very handy too.

I recently got the Dyson V15, and it’s amazing so far, but I’m only 1 month in, but I can say that even in this one month it has outperformed my previous vacuum when that was new out of the box. Prior, I had a Shark Pet, which used to clog with hair, overheat, and was stuck on carpet mode, it was alright for the first two years before it went down hill rapidly. I hope that this Dyson stands the test of time.

True. I was staying at my brothers for a few days and completely cleaned the robovac. I had only brought pure mint oil and none of my “room” deeper scented oils (tea tree, lavender etc) I usually have with me and the entire house smelled like mint lol. Was nice for a change

i use a hoover 652a senior, i use it every day and the only maintenance it needs is a new bag every month and a new belt every 6 months , it hasn't gone wrong in 52 years because it needed a new agitator in 1971 according to the maintenance book but after that it has been perfect since 1962 , 60 YEARS!

Dyson makes an attachment for that. My dog is terrified of the vac and since she’s short haired I let it go. She was a rescue that was previously starved and abused so it seems like the right thing to do to let it go and just vac the floors.

It is extremely important to regularly maintain your household appliances so that they function properly. I once bought a Kärcher steam vacuum cleaner cheaply because it no longer vacuumed well, like the owner said. The floor nozzle and the filter in the device were completely covered in dirt, it was a wonder that the device was even able to suck up a crumb. a good deal for me

I have a Dyson, it’s the v11. Which was around $800 at the time I bought it. The first week I had it, a friend of mine came over with her daughter. We were all drinking (the daughter is 21) and the daughter threw up on my carpet. This happened while I was already in bed. The mom decided to use my new Dyson to clean it!!!! The vacuum head still doesn’t clean like it’s supposed to! 😫

dont use the scotch, you will scratch the plastics. also get some screwdriver kit to take apart the atachments to clean them easily. i do with mine and the end result is just like new. and yes, you need to clean the vacuum very often, like once a month or two.

Having gone back to a bagged vaccuum cleaner after years of bagless I can confirm that is not super easy to clean. The bag does half the work for you and you only need to change every 1 - 2 months.

Four teen daughters with waist/butt length hair will kill any vacuum! Fortunately we have all wood floors and can use a broom but I find hair everywhere. We have four boys too though and have to scrub all the toilets daily😂

You guys soak your parts in hot hot water. Add your favorite cleaner and vinegar. Let it soak for a few hours. It makes the scrubbing process more effortless

My mom has that same Dyson vacuum, and I did not know it cost $700. It is not worth that much money, the battery and suction stopped working after a year, and the opening to empty constantly falls open while you’re vacuuming, getting dirt all over the places you just cleaned

How often do you clean your vacuum? I have a cordless Dyson and it seems to always get clogged... My husband has cleaned it out probably 1/month since we got it. Maybe we aren't doing it often enough?

It really depends on how often you use it,some models have two filters and you may not be cleaning one of you have a blue cap at the back of machine it's also a filter that can be washed, also, the cordless models filter inside inside out(if you have a filter that's in the cyclone unit) try putting water through the little space at the top or gently unclip it

It is not recommended to wash filters since the dump can cause an electric short circuit, and that is the end of your vacuum cleaner's life. Maybe try to clean it more often
