@7:50 that paper towel disappeared faster than my dad.

@vacuumsrus nothing to be sorry about. Hes just really good at disappearing. But damn that was fast. I already have a Miele Classic C1 Pure Suction for my all hard floor home but I do want to buy this Sebo D4 for my sister and brother in law's housewarming party after seeing how great it is on carpet floors. It will take me a while to save up for that but I think they will need it since I think the Sebo Felix might be too small for a house thats 2300 square feet.

Dyson has always been my go to, however they are not as good as they used to be and from a cost perspective you have to ask are they worth it!!! I got fed up with battery power, if I want to deep clean sorry an hour long battery is not enough so I am going back to the good old plug and cord model. I have watched several reviews but time and time again this Sebo D4 keeps nudging ahead of the competition and now this fantastic review. I am heading over to the Sebo UK site to place my order. I can't wait to get vacuuming. 🙂

Great video! I have a suggestion: always wear those shoes in videos. I know it sounds silly, but people will remember the shoes. If they remember the shoes, they will remember you. Keep up the great work.

Ha! I love these shoes! Shameless plug Dave's show repair in Arvada Colorado does the maintenance on them. They are almost as old as I am and were hand made in Syracuse NY by a company long since closed. Thanks for the comment! -Josh

Josh buddy! Fantastic review of the D4 - probably the best on the Internet, of one of the most significant canister options available today. Arif (from the UK!)

Thank you Arif! This video was a lot of fun to make at the time. We have sold a ton of these canisters since and have not had to do a single warranty repair on one yet. They are quickly becoming the darling of the canister vacuum world!

Yeah i tested the Miele C3 and Sebo E3 in store and the Sebo definitely did better on the edge cleaning. I went ahead and got the airbelt.

I had/have a C3 Brilliant. My son kicked it down the stairs, and the housing came loose, somewhat. I had it repaired, and while it was being repaired I bought a D4. I thought my Miele should have held together for the price, but now I think any vacuum getting kicked down a 14 flight stair case is going to get damaged to some degree. My Miele was still fully functional, I’m just picky. Anyways, I used the D4 for 2 weeks and couldn’t get over the bulky hose, and the awkward maneuvering. The power nozzle did not seem to clean as well, and it overall felt less refined. I didn’t like that it had no HEPA13 filtration as an option. I swapped it out for an E3, and ended up with the same conclusion. So I sold it and bought another Miele C3, a Cat&Dog this time, and upgraded its filter to hepa. The C3 is significantly easier to use, pleasant to use, filters better, cleans carpet better, and is an overall better product to clean with. What I loved about the Sebo vacs is that they are easy to dismantle for repair, and some parts can be repaired instead of replaced like with Miele. BUT since the Miele vacs tend to last a similar life span and are extraordinarily durable themselves, I find the Miele C3 to be the best choice for a canister across all brands. For uprights, I love my X4 Boost, but I am wanting an X7 Premium since you said they clean carpet better than the X4 Boost. My X4 won’t clean my carpet unless Boost mode is enabled, like it won’t maintain contact with the carpet. It constantly hunts for a setting, and when it does reach one it still isn’t low enough.

Can't go wrong with either. Miele's use bigger motors for much higher suction, but I have to say Sebo's ET-1 powerhead is second to none.

I bought a very expensive Dyson, and I have buyer's remorse. So I went from that Dyson to a very cheap Bissell where the telescoping pole is just a friction fit that falls off the hose when vacuuming. It's ridiculous. I have a 25 yr old Hoover that I love, but the hose now has holes in it covered with duct tape. I'm wary about buying another expensive vacuum cleaner, but I'm going for the SEBO. I researched Miele, but SEBO seems to have it over the Miele. Thank you for the video.

I personally own a Sebo and I love it. Sometimes it takes a transition period but Sebo is one of my most recommended vacuums. If you have any questions we could answer, don't be afraid to give us a call! We can help you find a local dealer as well.

I can confidently say either of those Sebo or Miele are solid choices I'm sure by now you've made your choice but if you go with Miele I will say avoid the models with controls in the handles you'll thank me later

To be fair a corded Dyson at first with the rice on the edge would have been a more fair comparison however we all know the results would have been similar.

My question is, why are Miele parts more expensive? Are SEBO parts the same quality or slightly less? Is there an actual reason for this?
@sprockkets Жыл бұрын
Their vacs are cheaper up front. Both brands use the same cords, same castors, same motors (Miele uses Domel, while Sebo uses them in their uprights, but Ametek in others.)

Does sebo have upgrade parquet thing for hardwood or does horse one work good? Or even better can you just use same power head going from carpet to hardwood and not waste time changing out attachment?

Would you recommend this over the Riccar R40P? I know it’s hard to compare upright vs canister.
@vacuumsrus9 ай бұрын
This is going to sound super corny but honestly we recommend what is best for the customer based on their cleaning environment and personal preferences. When looking at machines of this caliber it's not easy to just say "oh yeah pick that one" because they are both epic wow amazing holy cow good.
@reggiejohnson5433 жыл бұрын
For 1,300 this should have came standard with the ET2 15 inch cleaner head,don't see any for sale with it ,but they have it widly avilable as a 500$ combo kit for Central vacuums.
@vacuumsrus3 жыл бұрын
The is intentional actually. The wider the base the farther the air flow is dispersed so a performance drop can be seen as we extend brush chambers. Additionally for most homes the Et1 is a more popular option as it allows for better maneuverability around furniture. The higher air flow in centrals along with the larger square footage in homes that typically have centrals installed makes the et2 popular in that environment.
@piezoman79 Жыл бұрын
I for one wouldn’t want the et2 for home use. You could argue it should be an option for the same price perhaps, but not as the “standard” for reasons Josh mentioned above. I do also have a karcher/windsor access (dart) with the 15” head, and have no complaints about performance, but it is noticeably larger when trying to maneuver around furniture and such than the et1.
@sprockkets Жыл бұрын
They used to let you pick. Course the real outrage here is that Sebo only asks around $600 for the D4 in the UK, for what now costs $1400 in the US.
