I remember my mother-in-law got me this vacuum after the one I had (and hated with a passion) wasn't cutting it anymore. I couldn't believe how light it was. And when I turned it on it was so quiet! I loved it right away and looked forward to vacuuming every day. Even my kids loved vacuuming with this vacuum. All these years later, my oldest daughter still has it in her house and it's running strong.

EvanJS2005 Oh really? Can you back up your opinion in any way, either by using proof from a test you’ve performed and/or reviewed, or by having any side-to-side comparisons of one model from each brand? By the way, which particular model of Bissell brand vacuum cleaner are you referring to when you make this claim, seeing as how there are currently over 52 models of Bissell vacuums/washers in production?

@@UnregisteredSkeptic I like Dyson vacuums better (I have the v11 outsize) and it works great! The main reason why I like it so much is because of all the technology (dls for switching from carpet to hard floor) and the LCD screen that displays that different power modes and how much battery time you have left, and it changes whether you are on carpet/hardfloor, boost, eco, auto, and what attachment your using.

I was 15 when this came out and my parents got one. I thought it was so cool how it felt and sounded different than the older vacuums, more like an electronic than a mechanical noise and how the brush engaged and disengaged. 11 years later I bought my first vacuum and it is this one. It is great.

I had to return simply to let you know this: After watching this video and a couple other of your videos I DID go out and buy one of these vacuums and I absolutely LOVE it. We bought the Navigator Lift Away NV352. Not only does it have incredible suction (floor and carpet) but it really is nicely maneuverable, and great value for money spent. My last two vacuums were Dyson. This Sharp Navigator is hands-down far better with suction compared to the Dyson. The first use, I began in the bedroom -- after only a few minutes on the carpet, we could hardly believe the enormous amount of dust, dirt, dog danger that filled in the canister! That shows how much the Dyson had been missing. Anyway, we've been using it regularly since the first use and love so much about it that I actually enjoy vacuuming. Had I not seen your videos, I would have gone a different direction. I'm so relieved I watched your videos.

I bought this vacuum about a week ago after diving deep into the internet looking for the best budget vacuum. I was going to go for something cheaper but your video about the importance of a good filtration system convinced me to spend a little more money (I'm pretty frugal so this is my first non hand-me down vacuum) Honestly it's the best vacuum I've ever used, mine or otherwise. and my sister used to have a fancy dyson. Plus idk, the purple is pretty cool, right? I like it.

I can confirm my Navigator is bullet proof. I have cleaned my house and my commercial building that has lots of foot traffic daily for 10 years with this vacuum and it's still running like knew. There was one instance when my navigator 9 years in was making a hissing noise from the side ports just below the canister and I thought that the vacuum is now shot. Turns out that the hose had a huge clog halfway in the middle and once I cleaned the clog it worked like new. Amazing Machine. FYI me cleaning the filter and brush roll was the only really maintenance I did to this vacuum and it ran like a horse.

I have had my shark navigator professional for over 10 years. It has always worked great. I took it over to my dad's to use on his old dusty house and it stopped working. I didn't take the time to troubleshoot and set it aside. Meanwhile, I bought a new vacuum for my house...the quantum x. Well that brand sux and not in a good way. 😕. Anyhoo...I needed to do some deep cleaning at my dad's and decided to wash the filters in the shark. Lo and behold the old shark worked better than ever! Like new! I ran it for three hours straight. It performed like a Rock star. In 10 plus years, my shark has handled fur, fine dirt, traffic, two houses, banged around, transport...now there's some duct tape holding one part in place but I'm lazy when it comes to fixing things...it's the best investment I've ever made. Now...let's talk about the Quantum X. What I liked...water filtration in an upright. What I don't like: it's heavy, dirt turns to mud/sludge buildup that you have to clean out and may take hours, an odor will build up if you don't. It doesn't pick up dirt like you think it does. I avoid my stairs. PERIOD! I bought the qx and ran it in my house from Oct 2020 to April 2020. Had my carpet professionally cleaned in April. I vacuumed my carpet the night before...the guy showed up with his shark and filled up his container. I was embarrassed and irritated. I wrote a review on their website, they replied by insulting me. Saying it was years of dirt build up in my house rather than taking responsibility for a cruddy product. So there it is. I don't work for shark. I just buy a lot of vacuums. I've had three sharks. The power head, stick and the navigator. All worked great. I burned out the power head and the stick in 5 years. I've had hoovers, great but loud and I didn't get 5 years out of them.

I think that we have this machine at our house. We’ve had it for, I think, around 7-9 years. Something like that. I don’t remember exactly when we got it, but let’s just say it was a long time ago. There’s tape on the bottom of the powerhead because the cover won’t stay on otherwise, the lower cord hook broke off earlier this year, and the cord got absolutely chewed up by the brush roll, but we put electrical tape on it. The thing still works.

I still have my professional lift away and it’s been 9 years I think now. I love the hard floor head that has the microfiber dust catch pad. It is heaven. I also have a corded shark stick that I love but I find I love the lift away for vacuuming corners and using rotator head for furniture. I also have a fusion v7 cordless I use daily and my moms 80s rainbow for monster vacuuming. Yes I have 4 vacuums. And I continually go back to the lift away for weekly deep cleans.

As someone who has 3 pets in their home that built in feature is so crucial and important to me and something I will from now on consider a MUST when it comes to vacuums. I cannot thank you enough for this video. Many years ago I bought a Shark vacuum and it was so bad we left it on the curb within the week. All this time I equated Shark with complete JUNK. But this month I found myself in the market for a small upright and this video caught my eye. (I was already a subscriber.) I wish I could say I bought this vacuum through your affiliate link, but I was in a hurry so bought it in a Manhattan home goods store and WOW! I am SO impressed. My only complaint would be its shorter hose and tendency to tip over, but it is a small price to pay for the small footprint. I love it. Thank you again for the work that you do.

I've had my Shark Navigator Lift Away NV351C for around 7 years. Still works like new; absolutely no problems! All filters are completely washable. The only thing I wish, is if it had an option to plug in a Li-Ion battery pack to take it outside & vacuum my car. The Shark Navigator Lift Away NV351C only needs a battery pack to make it portable; it does not need any other design changes!!!

I bought this vacuum cleaner, the nv352, from Bed, Bath and Beyond when it was on sale and also used their 20% off coupon which reduced my price to $119.99 before tax. I received free shipping too because the amount was over the minimum dollar amount to ship free. I love this vacuum cleaner. I bought it for my son’s apartment and tried it out. It worked great on the carpets and floors. It did well on the stairs too. I used both the full vacuum cleaner on them and also too the bottom off and used the wide brush that didn’t spin. It was a little difficult to used the whole vacuum cleaner in one piece on the steps. But, I don’t think it was meant for steps anyway. I think that I will buy my son the spinning pet brush attachment at some point for him so it can beat the dirt out the same as the regular spinning brush does on the carpets. I did have to empty the dirt quite a few times, but my son hadn’t vacuumed his apartment since moved in four months ago. He didn’t have a vacuum cleaner before this one. I am thinking about buying one for us too even though we have a Miele vacuum cleaner. It’s annoying using those attachments on that vacuum cleaner and was a lot more expensive.

I have a model under the NV65x series (x is some number), I think the main pros are the well thought out modular design and the fact if you don't misuse it and keep the two pre-filters to the motor clean it'll keep going. (Better to just look at the filters to see if it's saturated after cleaning, rather than just go by some schedule.) It also seems of sturdier construction than more expensive vacuums. Family had a Dyson for a while before returning that and trying the less expensive Shark, but the plastics on the Dyson were too thin and really creaky from flexing. The Shark even though it's still light is solid everywhere, and the main wand seems to be aluminum which also helps with the sturdy feel. I think a lot of vacuums in the higher range use the same exact LG motor/impeller assembly the Shark has, so there's that too. Generally I've seen some comments elsewhere that aren't fond of the Shark. But those people don't empty the canister before it backs up into the cyclone (a big no-no with these), and they tend to severely neglect the filters. I think they're stuck on a bag-vac mindset, and don't use a bagless properly. They often don't have the sense to only empty it outside as well, which is a bit of a face-palm.

I love this vacuum. My first one the bottom hose eventually cracked due to bending the vacuum to reach under areas hence on my second shark navagator. Still well worth it this baby literally picks up all the hair, dust, and evey spec on can imagine of whatever thats on the floor. Also mine came with a sticker of a puppy ( showing that it does well picking up doggy fur too) hehe...on the canister and I refuse to peel it off its very cute AND still on there after going through many hand washes with soap! Should one of its limbs gets damaged or broken again, i will most likely buy another one and another one for as long as this baby is available. Thank you Shark Navagator for lifting away all my dust!!!

I just got the pro version of this. It's REALLY GOOD!! It makes it pretty pointless to go buy the stratosphere or the vertex for like $400 unless you need the soft roller. I found with my apex I barely used it on hard floors because I was mainly using it for carpet. And it bit the dust after just 5 years. Idk but I was hoping I could get more time out of it than 5 years with the amount of money I spent on it. You'll do perfectly fine if you have one of these.

I recently gave a friend my cordless Shark P80 (I think that was the model) and do miss it a little bit. The lift away was a nice feature, though the Dyson cordless handles so well, it doesn't really need that. Dyson cyclones keep more dirt from getting into the filters than the Shark design, but the Dyson cyclones can't be cleaned. They say the fine dust doesn't matter, but it would be nice to be able to get it completely clean and odor free. So kudos to Shark if that's possible. All that said, I still think I'm more of a "Dyson fanboi" than a Shark lover. And I'm definitely a fan of cordless. I took out the Miele canister today and it does have it's place, but it's such a contraption compared to a cordless. And don't even get me started on Rainbows or Kirbys when it comes to contraptions. Do I need to sharpen a knife or spray paint with my vacuum? No.
@vacuumtests9225

Shark P80 would be nice. I don't personally like Dyson stick vacuums (high center of gravity), because Shark P80 is way more versatile. However Dysons are better keeping the filters clean.

I've not changed the filters once in my Shark, a quick rinse under a shower head or hose once in a while and they're good as new. Who knows what dirt is in the Dyson ones that you don't need to clean it maintain.
@arevee9429
@arevee9429 4 жыл бұрын
@@vacuumtests9225 The Shark wasn't without its good points, but having owned both of them, I found the Dyson a lot easier to use. This is why I gave the Shark to a friend in need who thought spending less than $100 on a new vacuum would be a good idea. I've never found the weight at the top of the Dyson to be a problem at all, though mine is the V8 and not the bigger, heavier V11. Ejecting the dirt on the Dyson is also less messy than it was on the Shark.

My Dirt Devil Vision Turbo went kaput after 20yrs! So here I am watching KZbin vacuum reviews before I buy a vacuum. Seems lame. LOL But I am learning things. Yes, my bedrooms didn't smell CLEAN after vacuuming! I thought it was because the thing started eating through the belt so I just thought it was hot rubber smell. Which it may have been some of that AND the dust being kicked back into the air. Finally figured out why I would always sneeze after vacuuming! *facepalm* I have a very important question though.... Most more modern appliances aren't manufactured with QUALITY in mind anymore. Companies WANT you to have to replace expensive things. So how long (with regular use) would you expect the Shark Navigator to last? Could I get 20yrs??? There's a lot of hair shedding happening in this house so I fully expect having to periodically BE the vacuum cleaner. LOL

I personally hate bagless vacuums including shark and Dyson but my mom has this vacuum and your video made me appreciate it more than I did before but i still prefer my kirby g6 or legend 2 as i feel that they clean way better and I prefer bagged vacuums as they usually clean better and are easier to maintain.

One problem if you have a bag vacuum and it leaks and some bag units do leak it is just as bad.

So, based on this video I ordered the NV352. It just arrived, and they now only offer two tools in the box. The short crevice tool, and the upholstery crush. There is no dusting brush. The retailer credited me $18 which won't buy those two attachments.

This was when Sharks used to be reasonably priced. Now current models are quite expensive. I know there is a lot of hate towards Sharks, but that's mainly because you really can't buy spare parts so easily than for some other vacuums. Another is their cyclone system what many don't like. Pre motor filter gets dirty quite fast, but what I have measured they don't lose suction/airflow nearly as quickly than many think. Also whole bin & cyclone system is see through and easy to wash. In my opinion Sharks are quite good. I have NV500 and NV340. I must admit that I like those. They have hold up very well and they clean very well for a bagless vacuum.

Wow, Vacuumtests, I'm surprised you like Sharks. I've watched your channel and thought you weren't a fan of inexpensive, plastic vacuums. I used to hate Dysons based on just picking them up at Costco and the discount stores, but after having actually used one at home for 4 years, it's actually pretty good. Mr. Miele spends a lot of time in the closet since the Dyson came home with me. And the Rainbow and Kirby? Bye-bye.

Wow this vacuum is one of the best in terms of power,suction,deep cleaning, and filtration. I think if it were in the commercial vacuum series it would have been in the top three! depending on the results and scores of the others.

The idea of a shark vacuum being used in a commercial environment is hilarious to me. Shark would build the motor itself out of thin plastic, if that were physically possible.
