I just got mine and immediately used it all over the house despite the fact the carpet was cleaned recently it pulled a lot of crud from the carpet, not to mention you can use it multiple different ways for areas around the house. If this doesn’t convince then let me say this, my mom and brother told me that the vacuum we have worked fine don’t get a new one when it’s not necessary well they completely shut up on the matter when they saw how well it worked. Also it’s lightweight so it’s perfect for those with stairs in your house it’s one of the reason I got this model. I have no complaints.

Based upon this review, I purchased the Shark LZ601 APEX Uplight. WOW, what a game changer this vacuum is. I pride myself in keeping a tidy home, but with my first two uses of this power vacuum, I realized there was so much dirt my other vacuum left behind. Like you mention, it isn't the lightest ones, but it's not overly bulky or heavy. It weaves in and out of tight areas and the flexibility with using attachments is so easy. Everything is labeled (which is GREAT). I have a one-story bungalow with 95% wood floors. It just cleans and cleans and cleans......and, because of the 'hidden' wheels, upright storage makes this one a winner for those of us with limited area. Thanks so much, Vacuum Wars, for the very thorough reviews. I highly recommend the Shark LZ601. You get a lot of vacuum (and cleaning) for the dollar.

Even with all of this, my mom didn’t like it for some reason😑. It’s not like it was too heavy, as she likes our Dyson V15 with the same handle weight issue. In fact, the v15 has been our main vacuum until recently when we got the kenmore 600 series canister vacuum which we love.

I live in a 150 yr old house with original wood floors, and have 3 birds and a cat. The birds make big messes, to the point where I was using a shop vac to clean around their cages. That was killing my back, so I finally decided to invest in a good vacuum. I was given a gift card for Christmas, to a store that sells Sharks and Bissell's. Found your channel and spent a ridiculous amount of time watching your videos :) Decided to go with the Shark Apex Uplight and used it for the first time this morning. I'm horrified to admit that I filled the dust bin 6 times on three rooms (den/living room/dining room). I had NO idea I had so much dust and debris on my floors! The biggest plus so far is that it's a beast for getting stuff out of the cracks between floor boards. It also seems quieter than other vacuums I've used in the past, and it didn't scare my birds. The only negative that I can see right now-I wish it had an auto-cord wrap. Otherwise this thing is awesome, so glad I watched your review and bought one!

I just got one of these! Used it the first time about 15 mins ago. The suction is incredible and despite me having long hair, none of it got caught in the bar this go around. That's amazing. One thing I do not like already is that it is hard to turn especially on hard floors. It will tire your arm out trying to swivel it around. Never experienced that problem with my old Shark Navigator.

We just ordered one of these to go with our HYLA EST. While that thing is the biggest cleaning beast I've ever used, it's seriously unreal. It makes you feel insecure about the job whatever vacuum you owned before it did. Makes it feel like all you did was waste time before for sub par results.. It does however sometimes gets annoying dragging around the floor canister in a 2700sqft home. I typically overlook that short coming for how much better it cleans than anything. Id also be crazy to trust the oldest (she's 9) with a $2500 vacuum too. Granted we paid like $1980 new, but still. One of her chores before we got it was vacuuming. This allows us to put her back in charge of cleaning all the upstairs carpet and I can follow up with the hyla twice a month for that deeper clean.

Would you please be so kind to make a video on the best vacuum for stairs? Or at least recommend one to me here. I’m thinking something like this but my concern is the hose attachments seem to only spin on suction power. This would make deep cleaning a carpet very difficult, and with stairs being arguably the highest traffic area of the house, deep cleaning is important for me having a severe dust allergy
@MrBritrider
@MrBritrider 3 жыл бұрын
Just bought this yesterday and returned it today. 😕 The best parts is the suction and the headlights. Good supply of both. This unit is hard to use and it’s clumsy under and near obstacles as it is easy for it to get caught on legs and other protruding things cause it isn’t agile. It leaves many weird grooves in the carpet and it squawks like an injured goose on the pull back when sweeping. Without a way to reduce the mighty suction, it’s a chore pushing the head around. The canister is minuscule and with a big house will need to be dumped many times. Wanted to love this cleaner as it would have been my first Shark. Gets many great reviews. For me, I give it ⭐️⭐️

There's one huge problem with the duo-rollers on this vacuum: it will pull the floor adhesive from parquet flooring. After using this vacuum for 3 months, I noticed almost 50% of the parquet tiles are lifting off the sub-floor. Plus, there's no option for lowering the suction on this vacuum.

Not saying I don't like the vacuum, but why did shark put the canister thing at the top, when you can have it at the bottom like a normal vacuum. Maybe because of air paths? Still a unique vacuum, I like the hose they have in the canister.

In fact, i think shark should make their vacs customizable to if you want duo clean, or not as well if you want a cordless vac or not as well if you want zero m or not. Duoclean is awesome - for thise that have big particles on their hardfloors daily. If you dont and you usually have small particles on ur floor, duo clean really isnt necessary for you. Not to mention the front roller on the duo clean heads seem to spread and smear dirt and hair onto carpet and surfaces, and can easily gobble up cords and dangling strips on rugs and rip them off. I haven’t noticed it to be an issue while using it on hard flooring, but on carpeting this is a bit of an issue. Just takes the extra effort of using the attachments or going straight in with the hose at the baseboards/trim/moulding. I’ve always needed to do this with other vacs as well. Then again, I have many cats and must do fine detailed cleaning as fur collects in those spots regularly. 😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼

@drumfan83 2 жыл бұрын
I have one of these and it is the worst vaccum I have ever owned. I actually asked Shark to replace it with a less expensive standard model and they were 100% unhelpful and would not help as the machine is a pain to use but not “broken” so the warranty was not useful. It worked well for the first few weeks but with use quickly fell apart and began to give me issues. First off it overheats and blows very warm exhaust air all the time. The base is impossible to detach without using a ton of force and the top breakaway portion is also really hard to do. The hose doesnt like to click back into position and is so stiff and inflexible that its hard to easily use. The filter cover falls off, the attachments stick out and get caught on everything, and the soft roller pops off of the base when in use, the top cannot be detached without the entire length of the cord being unwrapped so quick jobs are pointless unless your using the full stick and head together. The suction was ok but nothing spectacular and it quickly lost power after a few weeks of use. i informed shark that this was my 3rd shark i had purchased and that i hated the design and wanted to exchange it somehow (i bought it from a place that doesn’t do returns) and like i said they wouldnt do anything to help so I informed them that was the third and final shark i would be buying. I replaced it with a bissell turbo pro pet rewind and its much much more effective and easy to use … this shark os headed for a good bath and onto Ebay so i can rid my house of it. Worst 200 I ever spent, i really regret buying it, it os a horrible vaccum.

How difficult is it to pull the vacuum back on carpet? I've noticed on other duo clean vacuums that in lift away mode when there isn't weight over the cleaner head it's hard to pull back towards you as the roller is trying to pull away from you. Since this vacuum has little to no weight on the cleaner head I wonder how it compares to lets say the Apex upright in lift away mode.

What about area rugs instructions say to disengage the rollers but doesn’t say how. Any clues to disengaging the rollers?

I'm looking at this one and the shark apex upright. I have hardwood and tile floors with the exception of one jute area rug. Could you tell me which one might be a better fit? I'm having a hard time deciding. Basically other than the design they are the same. I'm sure there is also a difference in power. I have an old remodeled farmhouse but we kept the original hardwood floors. They have a lot of crevices so good suction is important to me. I also have 2 dogs. Both have short hair but my bigger one is definitely my shedder!

Got this vacuum... after 1 1/2 months of use...I would say the improvements mentioned here are true BUT the biggest disappointment is that they took away the ability to turn off power brush... in other words two speeds. Might as well be Dyson as the extra power took away the versatility Shark used to have where I wouldn't have to change a head or attachment for my rugs. I got to just use my vacuum before. Now I have to use attachment on rugs where as with the old Shark I could just turn off the power bar and only use soft roller and go from carpets to hardwood to rugs with no change in attachments. I'm still a Shark fan but that was so disappointing. PLEASE SHARK BRING BACK THE TWO POWER MODE... otherwise I may as well get Dyson and change heads and attachments with thre best suction on the market. Ok... they'd still have a long way to go with the duo clean... think that's patented... so Dyson is SOL on that.

Please I need an answer quickly. What is the difference between the red and blue one? Is it the same thing? Just red is more expensive? Lol

Thinking the same thing. Different colours, but one is more expensive than the other.

Hello, I'm getting frustrated. I'm looking for a vacuum for my house 2400 sq home. All hardwood and tile but i need for carpet stairs and area rugs. Please please let me know which one you recommend in the not so pricey range such as the Dyson S8 absolute. That is $1000.00 in Canada. I think the soft roller idea is good. I also need it to fit under my kind bed which is very tight. I'm fine with a corded and prefer a lighter one if possible.

I'm trying to decide if I want to upgrade to the uplight. I currently have the rocket duo with the bend in the stick. I have a dog that has short/med hair and the hair never gets to the end of the dust pan. It gets stuck in the tornado like area in the dust pan which makes me have to empty it every 10 seconds because it stops up the suction. I want to know if the dust pan get fill up correctly. What is your advice?
