Vaettir Farm, 55 Monk - Guild Wars Monk Farm Mo/A - HM

Yet another way to farm the Vaettir. This is just one of the ways to farm them, but on a monk.

Armor: standard 55 armor with all superior runes and high energy insignias.
Weapon: +5 energy single handed melee weapon with 20 ench mod and the -50hp cesta.

@@figa5567 they updated pre searing few years ago they now have daily quests and the general mobs get a level boost after you reach a certain point.

The wall method is arguably the most important solo farm technique in the game. It single handedly makes a shit ton of farms possible, it is used in basically every speed clear dungeon/zone I can think of and is one of the things that, even though it stems from a bug/poor design, absolutely makes this game magical to me. it's a great thing to master :) that small sidestep he takes is very important in some areas (like UW). You need to take a step that is small enough to not let enemies pass through but large enough to block the enemies "line of sight" that they can walk around you and be totally fine. Basically you need to create a "V", where the enemy is crossing point of the "V", your character is one of the prongs and the wall is the other prong. It's awesome :D

for some reason I'll randomly start taking 5 damage even when shadow form is up :/.

Make sure you only have 55 hp and make sure you do not have the norn title on because it gives you hp.

Always cast Protective Spirit before every shadow form.

I tested it out again and had no issues. I just sat there for about 8-10 SF cycles before killing each side. I think you might be casting SF just a little too late. If SF goes down for even .1 seconds you will take 5 dmg with each hit and with 30-60 enemies hitting you at once, you can die instantly. Be sure to cast PS and Deadly Paradox just before SF is recharged and the moment it is recharged, cast SF. You can maintain perma SF but you do not have much time in between.

I can confirm, this doesn't work anymore (I guess..) I tried like 20 times, I die everytime. I do the exact same method at 100%, I keep getting hit even when I have all the boons. I refresh them at the right order, at the right timing, but no, I keep dying randomly. Maybe a glitch or a nerf :/ RIP

I just tried this. It still works fine. I even stayed in place while all 60 were attacking me for about 5 mins just maintaining everything. No issues. Every time you need to recast SF, you need to cast in this order: Protective Spirit -> Deadly Paradox -> SF. Always in that order, one right after the other. You just need to watch that SF does not go down even for a split second or else you will die.

For some reason the Vaettir wont spawn on the South side.. Is that a Quest thing or am i missing something? I only get 30 Vaettir in the Aera.. Can someone explain that?

Timewise, they are about the same. I just like the 55 better. One less enchantment to maintain and you get the HoS if you get stuck.

i remember back in the days you didnt use shadowform for the 55 hp build. and shadowform just made you take 0 dmg but when it decays your hp drops low.. :) interesting that they patched so much. I just bought gw1 again but had a problem since i added it to an already existing email from my old gw2 account, now i need to wait untill the support answered me about changing phone verification since it still has an old Number added to it, Do they actually work on weekends ? i cant wait to play.. :)

I'm not sure if they work on weekends. I have not dealt with their support in years. But I think it is the same support team as for gw2.

how do you permanently keep sf up? everytime i want to reapply it with paradox, my paradox vanishes instantly off my screen. it seems like i lose the buff after the first hit i take, even though i take 0 dmg

Deadly Paradox only lasts a few seconds. Just be sure to use Protective Spirit -> Deadly Paradox -> SF in that order.

@@MozoGW thanks for the reply but it wasnt that. on a 9yr old video someone said that if u dont cast prot>paradox>sf in a fast sequence right before your old sf is about to end, it bugs and ur paradox just goes away

Yes. All of my farming videos show farms that still work. No updates have been added to the game that changes them.
