Another infuriating issue is the fact that many doctors will hold a woman's vaginal estrogen cream "hostage" unless she submits to a mammogram. I want to have the right to refuse and decide when or if I want a mammogram! Also, there should be a worldwide class action lawsuit against the WHI researchers who have essentially brought quality care of women to a standstill for 20 years now due to their inferior "study".

Thumbs up to the part about the WHI. They did a horrible disservice to women.

@@mtntm5628 The WHI's flawed so called "study" is still having a negative impact on women two decades later! I love this video and hope it will lead other women to the relief of vaginal estrogen. After starting a new medication to treat a chronic illness, I suffered constant bladder and yeast infections. My urologist said the new medication had “tipped me over the edge” and was causing the infections because my estrogen was so low post-menopause. Vaginal estrogen was life-changing. And so between this and the controversy over pellets were some doctor say yes, and some say no, I don’t think there’s been enough science for anyone to know or say that a certain delivery system is inferior. Point is, I don’t think there’s myths when it comes to things like this if it’s happening in real time to a person. All of our bodies are different.

Yes you will have to use vaginal estrogen for the rest of your life if you want to prevent all the vaginal problems after menopause. Your body will never produce estrogen anymore. Just include it in your routine. You certainly put cream on your face and body, you care for your hair and hands, so include your vulva and vagina as well. I use estrogen cream twice a week and it has improved the tissue very much. No burning or itching anymore, the tissue is moist and healthy. But it will take about three months of usage until you will see and feel the results.

I like to watch Utube videos to get information on different topics, but I don't want to ask for medical advise from a medical physician via utube because since they don't know my medical history it's a liability for them to respond but I do understand how you feel. I don't know if it helps but stopping the hrt would be more risky than being on the meds especially to your bones. It also depends on your age if your of a premenopause age it's beneficial but after a menopausal age you may be able to stop or decrease it over time and go through menopause without much harm (I would discuss this with your doc first though). If you have a doc you talk with regularly I'd talk to them or see a hormone specialist who should be able to answer your questions. This may sound weird but the ones who would know the most about these hormones meds would be drs who mostly work with Trans patients as they're the ones who prescribe them the most and specialize in these specific kinds of hormones. If you decide to go through menopause/stop the meds then an gyn/dr specializing in menopause would probably be the best. I wish you luck ^^ Obligatory not an MD just a naurodivergent individual with a medical fixation so I have a tendency to read a lot of medical literature and wanted to be a Dr (life got in the way of that).

@@ThanatosMist My primary care provider prescribed me the orally estrogen pills and also the estrogen cream but a few years ago when I had tried taking these I got very sick with palpitations And my thyroid levels went out of wack so I had to stop but now she is recommending I try it again.... So I'm scared to try estrogen again... Actually I don't have hot flashes just the dryness down there lol I'm 55 years old, but I would love to actually find something natural for that issue instead of taking estrogen so I was going to take your advice and seek that specialist to ask them, do I realllly need to take oral estrogen to prevent heart attacks... And all that stuff they claim will happen if I don't start estrogen 🙈😭

I would ignore any doctor who told me to ignore an FDA black box warning.
