The vocalization in your performance here is not only up to par, but i can you truly care alot and are putting your very essence into this cover. Not only is your soul in this, not only do you capture the elegance from the original song but there's an element of you in this song and it really makes it stand apart as many others have said. Ich war, besonders als ich noch jünger war, nie ein großer Fan von ruhigeren Liedern. Oft fehlte mir die innere Ruhe, die Geduld das Lied wirklich zu erleben. Ruhiges kann sich nur in Ruhe entfalten und ich glaube, das mach es so schwierig zugänglich. Zumindest in der Regel. Wenn ich hier von Ruhe rede, meine ich nicht Stillstand. Ähnlich wie die physikalische Ruhe auch bei einer konstanten Bewegung herrscht, kann auch eine gefühlte Ruhe entstehen wo emotionale Aufgewühltheit herrscht. Ruhe bezeichnet das konstante, das entschleunigte, aber nicht erstarrte. Und manchmal kann es ein Ruhepol schaffen, seine Ruhe auf sein Umfeld wirken zu lassen. In meinen Augen ist genau das die große Kunst von Liedern wie diesem. Sie müssen nicht in eine Ruhe hineinwirken, sondern können selbst beruhigend sein. Wenn es ein Lied schafft, mit seiner inneren Melancholoie, Zähheit, seiner Verlangsamung jemand anderen genau in diese Zustände zumindest teilweise zu überführen, dann hat es auch zumindest teilweise sein Ziel erreicht. Kann es jetzt noch seine Atmosphäre aufbauen, seine Moral verkünden oder seine Geschichte erzählen, ist dem Anspruch des Liedes an sich selbst genüge getan. Und in dieses Cover schafft es genau das alles wenigstens zu ermöglichen. Liebe Milkychan, ich glaube ich habe schon oft nachvollziehbar machen können, dass mich deine Musik, deine KUNST, nicht um ihrer Selbst Willen überzeugt, nicht einfach gut ist, weil sie deine Signatur trägt, sondern weil ich jedes Mal aufs Neue fasziniert, bezaubert und betört werde. Ich meine sagen zu können, dass bestimmt ein Großteil der Leute (mich mit eingeschlossen) in erster Linie deine schnellen charakteristisch dynamischen, vitalisierenden Lieder in Erinnerung haben. Lieder wie das, von mir viel zu oft erwähnte, Ignite the Sky, so ziemlich jeder Track auf Dissonance an dem du mitgearbeitet hast oder auch ansonsten fast alle Arrangements. Aber bereits bei Lost in Thoughts all alone war mit damals aufgefallen, wie mächtig gerade deine so flexible aber immer aussagestarke Stimme auf den leiseren, ruhigeren Liedern ist. Lieder wie jetzt auch das Nier Cover zeichnen sich durch ganz weiche Klangfolgen, unterbrochen von Akzenten, heterogen, also klar von einander abgeschieden eine lineare klangliche Erfahrung ermöglichen. Und bei solchen Liedern steht die Stimme stark im Mittelpunkt. Daher glaube ich auch, dass du so eine unglaubliche Wirkung entfalten kannst: Deine Stimme ist in der Lage sich beinahe uneingeschränkt zu entfalten und das Resultat ist dann ein so wirkungsmächtiges Cover wie dieses. Ein Cover das genau das erzählt, was es einen fühlen lässt. Beeindruckend! Ich glaube besonders zu Beginn meiner Kommentarschreiberei auf diesem Kanal habe ich mich immer wieder darauf berufen wie "professinell" deine Werke sind. Ich glaube gerade diese Tatsache, dass du es schaffst nicht einmal einen grabdiosen prögenden Eindruck zu hinterlassen, sondern mit jedem Werk aufs Neue jeweils bis ins Detail perfektioniert und oft vollkommen abwechslungsreich, zu berühren ist wirklich einzigartig und selbst in der Welt der Kunst auch noch lange nicht selbstverständliches. Und das macht mich auf eine komische Art und Weise wirklich Stolz. Nicht Stolz auf deine Leistung, denn die beeinflusse ich ja reichlich wenig, sondern Stolz das ich an dem was DICH und die Wahrnehmung DEINER Kunst (zumindest in meinen Augen) ausmacht, teilhabe. Deine Musik kann wirklich Verzaubern und den Rahmen ihrer klanglichen Wirkung sprengen und noch sehr viel mehr erreichen. Sie kann erzählen und genau dafür kann ich dir gar kein genug qualifiziertes Lob aussprechen. Ich kann dir nur innig danken. DANKE, für musikalische Arbeit der Extraklasse, die in solch fantastischem Meisterwerken wie diesem Cover zusammenläuft. Vielleicht werde ich jetzt tatsächlich endlich mal eine genaueren Blick auf das Spiel werfen, immerhin gefiel es mir schon immer recht gut, und ich schätzte eine bessere Empfehlung hätte es wohl kaum geben können. Ich werde mal sehen. Jetzt erstmal der Tradtion halber: Allen das draußen einen wunderschönen Freitag und natürlich ein entspannendes spannendes Wochenende^^

Same here, normalerweise weiche ich ruhigen Lieder eher aus, wenn mich die Melodie nicht direkt packt nehme ich mir meist nicht die Zeit um es wirklich durchzuhören - was mich umso froher macht, dass das Lied im NieR Konzert answesend war, das ich genau in so einem ruhigeren Moment (der Weg morgens zur Uni haha) komplett durchgehört habe. Es tut auf jeden Fall gut auch mal zu etwas Abwechslung ruhigere Lieder zu singen und es macht auch mehr Spaß, wenn sie so bedeutend sind wie dieses hier, ich kann nämlich unmöglich beschreiben wie wichtig mir dieses Spiel ist. Es freut mich auf jeden Fall sehr zu hören, dass ich bei dir so viel mit meiner Musik bewirken kann und wie immer danke für die unglaublich ausführlichen Kommentare :D

I have another request, Milkychan! Could you do a cover of Scarlet Fogbound by Alstroemeria Records*? I would love to hear an English cover of that song if possible (but it’s fine whatever language you decide to pick.) Yes, Emi Evans made the Chaos Language for Drakengard/NieR and "New French" which reminds of the Chaos Language but is based on French instead of Japanese. It's just a combination of listening to the vocals closely and reading the official lyrics - I'm still not on point with the pronunciation if you compare it to the more clear live version but yeah, that's kinda how it works
