Thanks !! ... as @equinoxambient correctly mentioned I use Videosync for these visuals. This allows you to work with videos in Ableton Live as if it were audio ... with instruments and effects ... everything you need. SO GREAT ... has the advantage that you can use the workflow you're used to and don't have to familiarize yourself with new software.
