hi stranger, ive been in the same place two years ago and i know that feeling, so i would like to give you an advice if you need help. it sounds simple but is hard to perform. 1. quit this stuff to clear your mind and regain focus - it's an empty feeling at first, but it will fade away after a few weeks. physically it's not difficult, the hard part is to face your upcoming thoughts. even if you do it once a week, it feeds in to your mind. just quit it for a year to see this effect. to help with your thoughts you can read something about the mind and people who went through the same. 2. move your body - movement releases chemicals in your brain, just like drugs. so it has an big impact on your mind. do something you like, the more exhausting the better the effect. dont stress yourself, start small. or even take a walk outside. it will also help you to hang in there, clear your thoughts and make you more resilient. 3. replace the habit of overthinking wtih someting you like - drawing, reading, sports etc. try to spend this time with yourself to learn something you're interested in. 4. be consistent - you dont need a schedule, just do it on a daily basis. make it a habit to care for yourself. after a while it gets easier, everything is difficult at first. keep in mind, it takes some time but it's worth it. never beat yourself up if you relapse in old habits or thoughts, start again next day and try handle it better. your thoughts define your actions, you decide to change something. trust in yourself, you cant lose anything but gain everything and dont hesitate to ask for help if you need it. sometimes it will seem like non sense, it is not a final solution, just a process that will help you to handle your thoughts and struggle in life. you can make it, we're in the same boat, you're not alone. wish you all the best.
