Her max is 90 days; Seeing as how she only has to serve a % of that, she will do around 75 days. If the judge gives her more, she wont have a job (If she hasn't lost it after this; I'm guessing she will...), so, just getting it over with becomes a very logical option...Judge knows it takes about a week to get used to being in jail, and she will start thinking: "I might as well get it over/done with...?" No more treatment (she doesn't wan't), or probation. Time served; "Don't do it again!" , and done...

There are factors that can make 1 DUI a felony in Michigan. Automatically a felony for a 3rd DUI. Her attorney was able to get each DUI plead down to a misdemeanor. The judge mentioned she was surprised about the 3rd not being a felony ( 3:52 ). Driving the wrong way on an expressway is another way to get a felony DUI on your first. Three DUI’s in 14 months. Oh dear, just heard the verdict 5 days, unfortunately this is all the judge could give as the prosecution classed it a “misdemeanour”, they really did get that wrong !. In UK she would get 3-5 driving ban 5 yrs, take extended test after that, and her insurance would be a figure above 2 with 000s IF SHE COULD, I HAVE NO SYMPATHY WHATEVER

The judge is 100% right.

In what state can you get away with so many DUIs. I want to avoid driving there.

Its the Judge fault she let her out after the 2nd DUI. The judge needs to be fired or removed from the bench. 3 DUI in less than a yrs. She should got 2 yrs in prison and lost her driver license. The judge is way to lenient and enabled the defendant to continue to commit crimes.

Ooooooooooh nooooooooo....... This has to be a joke. Is the drunk girl related to this judge or are they friends of the family ??!! This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The judge just made a mockery of all "death by dui" victims and their shattered families.
