I took this train from SMVDK to NDLS on 5th of Jan 22 with family after visiting the Vaishno Devi Shrine. I was in executive class. What a fantastic train it is. Completed the journey in sharp 8 hours. Not a minute more not a minute less. The catering services are very good. I think it is also the responsibility of us, citizens for the upkeep & maintenance of the railways property and not just of Railways / Government. Though it was raining hence I couldn't enjoy the beautiful views.

This train is definitely proud for indian and brought new experience for travelers. This train particularly pass thru most scenic route, so it brings most memorable journey, i have just traveled on 13th April 2022 from NDLS -> SVDK in premium class. it was fantastic experience. since i live in south east asia where we do experience Bullet train so one cant say Bullet train experience, yes defintely semi high speed train. Train never crossed 130KMPH and once enter J&K state train dont cross even 100KMPH. but definitely as indian i am looking forward for more this semi high speed train. Yes train was almost accurate to reach [delayed by 8min]. Its great to see our railway is working hard to improve and bring india at world class travel level.

Just completed the journey with my husband in Executive class from SMVDk to New Delhi after visiting Matarani on 23rd Nov2022.It was a good experience overall but citizens are equally responsible to keep it the way it is constructed and not to misuse it as observed.Food quality and taste is good and hygienic and was on time

Most important thing I liked about this private train is the journey time, covered within 8 hours of about 654 KM is a huge plus indian railways point of view, it looks clean and decent with white finishing, very quiet and the premium class seems to be ok, this is good some one would like to avoid overnight or complete day time, the train timings suite people like me except for the sitting part that long. But having used to overseas flight journeys between usa to india, I can take this happily any time. Cheers

Vande Bharat is not a private train by the way. And about travel time- a normal superfast train can also travel the same distance within 8 hours. But due to slacks they take more than 8 hours.

In 1978 I travelled by a class less train Konark Minor express from Secunderabad to Bhubaneshwar. The fare was of second class sleeper. There were very few stops in between. Each bogey had a library. There was pantry car to serve food and tea to all passengers of the train, of course you had to pay for every thing. In this video i saw bogies swaying side ways. This reminded me of that train running at 80 kmph during day but bogies swinging side ways so wildly that you can not go from one end to the other in the bogy without touching the side of bogy. We were a group of 22 persons and it was our past time during the journey. At night the train touched 120 kmph and it was absolutely impossible to go from one cabin to other in the bogy without taking help of side of the bogy.

A very interesting and alarming prospect indeed. Obviously this isn't the best way for a train to be functioning-the fact that there is so much oscillation at merely 120 kmph indicates that the bogies are not stabilised and could end up in one of those incidents . In contrast the bullet train which runs at 250-300 kmph are incredibly smooth and without vibrations so much so that you can have tea in a cup without the slightest discomfort. I wonder how the passengers can manage to have their on board meals let alone going to the toilet.

To both of you including @Rex T, the swaying is because these trainsets weren't sent for their required maintance because there are no trainsets to replace them. Also you can't compare a non-jacobs bogies ride quality with a Jacobs articulated bogies of HSR @Rex T, that's basic. It's akin to comparing a coil spring car with an electro magnetic suspension car.

Honestly sitting for 2-3 hrs in flight is such a pain.. How can people sit for 6-8 hrs in train.. Railways should introduce these kind of superfast trains with sleeper berths in long distance trains only.. Imagine travelling Chennai to Delhi or Mumbai to Howrah overnight.. That would be the best use of this train
