FYI, the coach quality made that 0 people died in that accident. About 20 years ago, such disasters have killed hundreds if not thousands. Not an excuse for letting the accident occur though.

India needs 200k coaches to cater to daily passenger limit which is 22 million/day. We should make double width of the coaches as compare to today's broad gaze trains and that too duble Decker with 20 coaches in each train. That way it will only take 5.5k trains everyday to comfortably transport passengers in Indian railway. That requires massive infra transformation which will further require astronomical amount of money. Approx 8-10 trillion of dollars. We can go for a bullet or maglev train .

Bhai,Delhi Mumbai is mostly completed for 160 kmph and work going on in delhi howrah. 2- for Kawach in 3000 km work going on and for 9000 km bids invited. 3- only 8 Vande Bharat has less occupancy and out of it 4 VB is less than 50% occupancy. 4- ya VB's fare is very high and according to your suggestion may be.

The questions asked are leading with an underlying bias against our railways. People like this even started raising questions against metros in india when it started and quickly vanished when metro became a success. I am very satisfied with the work done my our railways in recent times and if railways had public support the work would have been even faster.

​@river. Bro that is actually useful information he is asking. I also wanted to know what our government plans to do to upgrade track speed and track side wiring. It is important to know because in future if we want our VB trains to increase their engineering level and increase speed we also want tracks that can handle it and better tracks can act as a motivation for manufacturing and research facilities to put in valuable time to do those improvements. Otherwise our engineers will be like, why do we need to improve VB train when tracks can't even handle that improvement. You need to think larger game here brother. We need to come out of our poverty of aspirations. Then only country will progress.

I would suggest that Vande Bharat train 🚆 front face be made like RRTS trains 🚆. More Aerodynamic which will benefits to increase speed. I heard that most of Express & Shatabdi Express will be replaced by Vande Bharat trains 🚆 🤔

Not enough Building world class rolling stalk for a country like India is the easy part. Yet we took this long to master it. It's maintenance, advanced research and development with overhauling capability that actually matters and makes the difference on the ground. We can see it with the Vande Bharat and the overhauling video that is on KZbin that the staff are undertrained, missinformed and poorly equipped to perform maintenance and overhaul.

160 kmph is not world class, High speed railway is minimum 200 kmph. Vande Bharat has top speed of 160 and average speed of 70-100

I love my country, but vande Bharat arent close to being a world class train. 😂 If achieving the status of world class train was this quick, then every asean countries or african countries would have world class trains. Our train designs still suck and look like kindergarten drawings and cheap plastic front look on our trains. I would refer to the 1980s japanese trains as a base to learn what good design trains look like. Before we can even call our trains world class, we need to create a world class indian railways system and a impeccable and perfectionist insanity level of care and standards to everything. From perfection of the design of engine to the perfection of the choice of cup for water to the perfection of quality of handles on seats to the paint of the train. Edit: thats just the design and manufacturing part. Train service ke bare me toh puchna de mat, feels like Somalia.😢

The largest train manufacturer a.k.a rolling stock is China's CRRC with various trains rolled of to various countries.

CRRC is like a PSU that has over 30 factories spread across china that manufactures & assembles different components & rolling stocks in those factories. This makes CRRC the largest rolling stock manufacturer. Where as, ICF is just a factory where rolling stocks are assembled, out of outsourced components. ICF is the largest factory, in terms of number of rolling stock it rolls out per year. ICF Chennai makes almost 5000 (FIVE THOUSAND) coaches a year alone under one roof! None of the CRRC's factories comes near to this number.
