And then, eventually, Val appeared some years ago in Neighbours alongside Colette Mann (Doreen Anderson in Prisoner and Sheila Canning in Neighbours) as her ex-school friend, Joanne Schwartz. From Val and maybe Colette, I read online she wasn’t able to join the soap opera until later on, by the powers that be, which must have changed at this point, I guess. 😃
