Fair review. I’m really excited to compare this to my HISS (even though they are not a great comparison). Anyway, I’d say you’re right abt the 50 cal issues and the lack of an engine. However, I’m impressed with working steering column and excited to have it as a play feature and photography feature. 👊🏼

Nice Review, the rest of the other KZbinr reviews were not very good, compared to your review of the Valaverse Vanguard. I customized my missile turret with chrome and black accents on it. Great Review and yes I was disappointed that gun didn't go up and down. Overall I love the Vanguard that I got. I heated my Reaper figure as soon as I got out the package

Long post incoming. Love the video. It's a more in depth and unbiased look into it, and having come from Analog Toys video I enjoyed seeing the review with the stealth gray version and see if I regret not purchasing that lol. Tbh, I kind of like the tan color more. Maybe black would have been a better color choice for this rather than gray. FYI, I'm not a military guy. My military knowledge comes from videogames so you see where I'm coming from lol. Valaverse/AF always seemed like a more alternate universe, semi-futurstic military take in my mind so I can excuse the inaccuracies easier than most. So, I pre-ordered the tan one since my collection is primarily tan and desert based. My opinion after getting it in hand and seeing the reviews so far: the best value was probably to do the preorder on Valaverse's site because it only cost $185 shipped within the US. For all that we get with it, I am satisfied. There's the missile system add on was a bonus added in for no extra cost, and the Vanguard came with a unique figure, so the value would be more like $140 for the vehicle alone if you math it out that way. Pros: - I like how lightweight it is, because it's a fairly sizeable piece of plastic and I have to maneuver it during the process of getting it configured and adding in the figures, decals, etc. - Suicide doors/adjustable seats are very cool features and adds to different looks and configurations. Also helps when placing figures inside to be seated and gives more room to work with. Adjustable seats to slide and give more or less room to accommodate different sized figures is actually a useful feature I'm glad to use. - Well built. It's sturdy. Nothing flops about. Things tab and click into place in this vehicle and is a joy to handle. I am careful but I didn't have to baby this thing and nothing has broken or loosened on me yet. The doors stay put when open or closed, the figures stay put inside. The only gripe I had was the cup holders that don't secure things snugly inside. - Details are pretty nice all over the vehicle. Inside, the texture of the leather seats, the weather mat flooring, the underside, dashboard, front and rear lights, etc. it all looks really cool and if given a bit of paint work you can probably elevate it more. But as is, they do provide a nice visual for the insides and not have it hollow or blank. - Comes with a driver figure. The body is pretty unusual looking with the uniform, but it's AF so you can kit the Reaper out with extra parts and gear lying about and it'll match the rest of the troops. But the fact that it was included in this when we realistically could have just used any of the other AF figures to put behind the wheel is a welcome bonus. - Add-on parts and options. Love the different parts we get for the top hatch opening and I'm sure we will see more in the future, hopefully. If I had to rate them, the missile system is my favorite, then the turret, then the closed hatch. The winch is removable and they teased other parts we are going to be able to plug into that, so I'm stoked for it. - No extraneous packaging. Personal preference really. I like that things come in baggies and minimal cardboard waste. Less things to fuss with getting it out of the box and ready to play around with. And everything arrived undamaged and in place so no fighting with twist ties or all that other nonsense. I give Valaverse credit for that. - It's not based on an existing property. I know it's licensed by Rezvani but there's no connection to it the way Classifieds vehicles are to GI Joe. The reason I consider it a pro is that you can make this vehicle whatever you want it to be. I currently am using it as a transport vehicle for high level VIPS. But maybe I want it to be a suped up civilian vehicle in the future. Or maybe customize it into a post apocalyptic, Mad Max style vehicle. The versatility is there to be taken advantage of. Cons: - Paintwork is nonexistent, so it looks cheap. There's no two ways about it, it needs paint apps to really accentuate it. I think there are weathered versions coming out? But as is, there's no paint to be found as far as I can tell on the outside shell and most of the inside. - Some parts could have been working features like an opening glove box, some lights or electronics (personally, I hate electronics on toys, but for sake of value and what others expect in a vehicle, this is a damn near a must nowadays), opening hood to see the engine, - Accessories could be better. I know, it already comes with a lot, but I'd love for it to have come with more. Maybe a tool kit? Extra weapons? What we get is nice, but definitely could be better executed and detailed. - Blast effects. They're too comical looking, aside from the missiles. I rarely use a lot of them but the ones for the machine guns are too much. - Plastic quality? I'm not an expert in plastics and materials, but it looks a bit soft or non-detailed in some areas. But this isn't too egregious at all since nothing seems warped or broken or otherwise defective. - M240 mount. I have the same issue with the ammo strip making the gun hard to stay put because it keeps pushing it out. The gun looks a bit soft on details too, imo. - The turret with no bottom piece. I thought it was weird the feet just go inside the vehicle and dangles down in there, but honestly it doesn't get in the way of things. It's just odd. - The hype. I've seen the videos from other toy channels and the livestreams and all that. I saw the bar set very high for this, and when it came down to it, the hype generated a lot of strong opinions and comparisons and that always detracts when you see the product as it gets released. Final Thoughts? I'm fairly unbiased but I do like Valaverse's offerings and the things they do for the fans and community. I was actually looking forward to getting this and for the price, it's well worth it at the pre-order price. At $200+ if you were purchasing this at other sites and getting the missile system, that's a different story. But I now have a vehicle that's large enough to accommodate up to 10 figures, lots of options in weapon systems and set ups, decals to decorate the outside, and a unique driver figure. But all in all, if you have the cash to get one, get it and see how you like it. Might just be worth it for variety's sake on the shelf.

The thing that kills me about the 50 cal. not pivoting up and down is the turret swivels along with the gun. The thing moves twice in the same plane but can't pivot up and down. Great review by the way. I appreciate your unbiased opinion.

I’m not a military guy, and there is some versatility to this vehicle in terms of looking just enough like a military vehicle and a civilian car… so I technically should be the audience for this thing as the hybrid option of both appeals to me. But maybe that’s where valaverse shot themselves in the foot. Even with all the potential this has (especially with paint customization in mind) I’m still not sold on it. Also the gray looks a lot lighter than it did in the promo pics. Thought it was gonna be a lot closer to a cool dark gray. Great review either way!

it has more than a few issues but I will give Bobby a few points in that he took this from drawing board to reality, and so far GI Joe have only done upscaled versions of classic vehicles, which have been done by fans as customs , 3d printed versions etc for years before even this was announced, infact we might owe this just being announced back in the day for Hasbro finally getting round to give us the Vamp

To me it looks ok, it definitely needed electric working lights, maybe add some fog lights, in cab lights, dash light up, a hood & engine to display, the rocket 🚀 launcher I dig that feature 👍🏼, the Gunner feature is ehh, the driver is ok. Anyhow, my conclusion for this vehicle is the price was way too high for what it is. WWE has a BiG Rig for around $45 & yes I am comparing this action force vehicle to a Mattel vehicle. It's Same Same, but different & still Same. If he would of made a fully loaded with everything I mentioned I would of order me one, even though I thought the scale ⚖️ was a lil off.

Always enjoy your reviews. I know my way around a turret system too and now I’m really disappointed in this vehicle. That was one of the features I was looking forward to the most. Also to have a 24 and that thing looks like a boring piece of plastic. I’ll still have fun with mine but man, some misses on this for sure. I’m still not sold on those reapers. I seen them on display at a show and I don’t like the head sculpt. Maybe in hand I’ll change my mind. Atomic palm rip it was the best. There was another I liked too. Ever try the pit bull energy drinks. Those things were like battery acid haha!

Appreciate the honest review, really a bummer about the machine gun not being able to move up & down. I’m still waiting on my desert tan one to arrive, the first alert said UPS was delivering it Saturday, then it got pushed back to today (Tuesday) so I’ll wait and see, my mail carriers in this area have always sucked. Over all, I think I’m gonna like it, I actually like the luxury security contractor type look of the vehicle, but from your review I’m sure I’m gonna have a couple disappointments. I will say this, with all the 1/12 vehicles coming I’m going to have to start becoming A LOT more picky about what I add to my collection due to space constraints. Looking harder at overall quality is going to be moving to the top of the list in making future decisions.

Someone shared a message thread they had with Gridiron. Gridiron said they do not support Valaverse and will not be making any accessories. Seems a bit odd. I know Bobby has been critical of them, so I figured they might take some pride in making money off of something he puts out.

I like some of the custom Vamps people have done once you add in the gridiron packs, but not enough to pay the money once all is said and done for something that is just going to sit on the shelf. Thanks for the review! I recently picked up the Joytoy Cyclone which is a 1/18 scale armored vehicle, and its so much more detailed and with far superior paintwork than the Vanguard. Obviously different action figure scales, but its relevant since one would think the 1/12 scale has more opportunity for greater details. To me, the Vanguard looks rather "toy"-like compared to the Cyclone. Just my two cents.

Excellent review!!! During first reveals of the Vanguard, I asked about the twin .50 if it can elevate and you're absolutely right that its a big miss. I'll make it able to elevate up or down easily, been making machinegun arm mounts on my custom vehicles. At $184.99 each with free shipping and free rocket launchers, I can't wait to get my tan and grey this wednesday. And do some chop choping and do mods. Curious if you are getting any Ramen Toys offerings like the Hunter, Phalanx or other like the A Team van? Thank you! Great video.

One of two things this has over the Vamp is being In Stock and not having to buy it off ebay. I'd like to have gotten it but with the prices that are being asked on the second hand market you might as well get the vanguard. The second thing over the vamp (and stinger) is how many figures it can hold.

From some photos I saw on the net, this vehicle is not an acurate scale replica of the actual car, it just looks similar. In essence it's just like the G.I. Joe vehicles that are approximations of the real vehicles they are inspired from. What is the point then, of paying for an official license? And that company, from what I've seen, isn't exactly the type of brand an average person knows or cares about.

I'm looking forward to the up-armor kits they previewed that're supposed to come out next year. I got mine yesterday. I was NOT HAPPY with the poor quality plastic and the lack of detail. It feels like a $30 remote control toy you'd buy at Target. The price point is way off for this toy. The .50 cal doesn't elevate, yet they added steering feature so the wheels turn? I guess all the money went into paying Rezvani for the license. I won't be buying any more vehicles from this line unless they get busy with the detail and use better grade plastic. Definitely NOT a recommended buy.

I was on the fence on buying this. $200 is very expensive, but I need a military vehicle for my Joe's and Valaverse. After watching the video, I'll be skipping out on this. This thing shouldn't be no more than $150, and even that's pushing it.

The only time I’ve seen this on screen is in The Terminal List. And then it’s a private security vehicle. It should be kept as such. All the add ons don’t make much sense. Saying that the rear 240 makes sense.

That's kind of my one gripe with Valaverse, their figures only look good with the gear on, take it off however and you notice how blocky and square the torsos are, even with the females. And I get Bobby was hyping up his first vehicle but the turning wheels thing always made no sense to me, probably could have made it cheaper if they cut that feature and the turret not being able to look up or down is BAFFLING to say the least.

The traps on the male figures. I can’t get past how much the lateral part of the traps sticks up so far. Any clothing and plate carriers looks weird when added to the figures and the shoulders hang down so far.

FOMO enticed me to preorder along with the deal on shipping. I thought they looked really fun and awesome in the display at last year’s Powercon. But now that I have it, I am a bit disappointed. Sure it is better bigger than the Vamp, but I don’t feel that warrants double the price. As you mentioned, the plastic does not feel like it is of a higher quality, no elevation on the 50 cal turret which also looks childish, and Reaper looks goofy to me. I guess the one plus is, because it mostly a blank vehicle with the exception of the Rezvani plate, I can get mileage out of it as a War Van for the Punisher or use it with other lines that I collect.

After talking trash about Gridiron, he turns around and not only makes similar add ons, but makes one of them a door gunner set just like Gridiron made for the VAMP. After the noise vala and his shill channels made about the engine of greed I'd expected him to put major effort into the finish and every design element on this thing. From what bobby said I understood that this was supposed to show everyone that a high quality 1/12 vehicle could be put on store shelves for a reasonable price. It ended up looking lackluster at best. If you go back and really look at the finish on the ghost rider car it looks great compared to this. Not 350 great, but twice as nice as this thing.

Watching Blowback dangle down through that canopy hole gave me a solid laugh. I definitely don't see the justification for the price here, but maybe that's just me. It just looks very "plain" and I much rather not having to apply my own decals to give my vehicles even the slightest bit of character.

Man...that driver is a disgrace. His body makes no sense -- form or aesthetic. Let's just say it -- this was so they could say they included a figure. 230 for fully loaded Vanguard and one figure or 299 for fully loaded HISS and 4 figures. Easy choice IMO. Will say the rocket launcher and effects are dope.

SHouldn't it be $221 if we're comparing the loadouts an ignoring that the missile launcher was included. The vanguard itself ships free bt you do have to pay standard $8 Valaverse shipping for the 28 missile launcher kit.
