Valdos Puzzle Box Maps are Wild

I found a map with 'all non unique items instead drop as currency items' with multi ghosted rares and got completely scammed. For some reason, in this particular map unlike ANYWHERE else in the game, wisdom fragments are in the drop pool. So instead of random white items I was just finding thousands upon thousands of wisdom fragments. I got about 400 alterations and nothing else worth speaking of.

I want to see if it's possible to make a build around Dance with Death and Hollow Palm Technique so you're missing four gear slots just for the purpose of those 10% less dmg per item equipped maps. Otherwise, I wonder if that one dude in the Hall of Grandmasters would be able to do it.

i had a map with restless dead and global union of souls. you kill a pack, the next pack gets buffed and then the first pack revives... oh and the feared with +6 projectiles did spawn too.

While listening to this video, I found a puzzle box and opened it to reveal a map that had petrification, only damage within 2 metres, contains feared, 10% less per item, players who die are sent to the void, max number of players is 1. The reward for finishing all this bs is a Foil Ventor's Gamble...

The only other option was The Balance of Terror's Action Speed cannot be Slowed below Base Value if you've cast Temporal Chains in the past 10 seconds. Then you will not be locked out of Trickster or Juggernaut.

atziri actualy has reflect, even when she's not split with the mirror, it's a super small value, but that increased effec tprobably scaled it too much, if your build hits too hard you can one shot yourself just with it

Not at mageblood levels yet as I'm a pretty casual player but yeah, got a boneshatter charecter I've put a good few divs in and counting and it's defo on the level of my previous best charecter which was a 3.10 bleed bow gladiator in delirium and will likely surpass it once I've farmed some more divs and invested in some even better gear (next on the list is a 900+ physical dps axe). I don't play every league if your wondering why my previous best charecter was in 3.10 haha. But loving 3.23 boneshatter!

I hate the Valdo's maps existence. They are such a rich get richer scheme. The most ridiculous players that have tons of money to pour into making their build insane can buy the maps for cheaper than the reward and have a way lower risk factor allowing them to make even more currency off it.

Not p2w, the person paying for the $480 supporter pack just gets to design the map and choose the reward, mods etc, but the map is then able to be dropped by anyone. Granted the drop chance is rare especially for specific maps but the designer also doesn't automatically get the map so is reliant on the same drop chance/trading as everyone else.

Haven't played in a few leagues, came back this league and the idea that players can create these maps sounds like an issue. Obviously the rewards have to be balanced with the mods. But a 60 div map for a guaranteed 200 div item... to a random person that's a huge gamble. But isn't it possible that the creator already has a fixed solution for that encounter, designed and tested ahead of time. Most builds won't work if you just unslot a bunch of gear, so inherently it has much less value because barely anybody can even attempt it. Can't the creator design challenges seemlingly meant to work with niche builds, and then it seems difficult because most people don't have a The Feared level build that can operate with missing equipment? That sounds exploitable.

It would all balance out. The creator will not reliably pull their map from a puzzle box any more reliably than they can get their specific item and message from a void born reliquary key. They also said that the harder mods on your map the more likely it is to show up when you open a puzzle box so an easy map with mageblood will be as rare as mageblood and cost nearly as much.
