Great work mate, 112.5 is amazing mileage! Did my first 100 mile weeks preparing for London this year, 106.5 was my peak...but nowhere near what you are churning out! Good luck for the 2.22!

Thank you pal! 100 is just a number but it’s a benchmark to overcome, that is for sure 👊

You looked good on your leg of the 6 stage. I gave you a shout on the tree lined section, before you head out of the park on to the road. Not sure if you heard, but I didn't see you until you'd passed.

Your training is going so well mate. I’m training for the York marathon on the 20th October, aiming for around 2:53, first time doing York , any advice for the course ?

Fairly rolling in terms of a course, the long out and back sections from 13-20 ish can be a slog. Get in a group with other runners, keep the conversation flowing and you won’t go too far wrong.

@@therunningmaninbluethanks for that buddy, been incorporating some out n backs in training so hopefully that’ll prepare me. First day of taper and I’ve picked up a virus! Never mind hopefully soon shake it off and get back on it.

Thanks for sharing your personal knowledge , do you do your own nutritional plan or do you get help from a nutritionist, I never know what to eat , it’s a downfall for me , have you any pointers please ?

In my professional life of work, it is something that I am involved with, so it comes naturally. I do however monitor what I am eating when training for a particular event or trying to drop weight. MyFitnessPal is a good tool to use 😁

Always wondered how you keep up your mileage through illnesses , colds , flu I often caught colds when I was on my biggest mileage as my resistance was at its lowest and my colds lasted for weeks !! My highest ever weekly mileage was 76 plus a 26 miles training run so 102 miles in 8 days -I walked many miles working in a warehouse and walked to work and back but I never thought of them as training but I suppose they were !! . I was always a big believer in time on your feet - so I often did 3 hours/ 3.30 runs at a slower pace then my predicted marathon pace - I managed 42 marathons / ultras so you are nearly there mate - If you broke 2.22 it would certainly be a club record - hope all goes well in the weeks ahead

Plenty of fruit and veg, eating clean and not drinking helps massively 😁
