Lovely reaction :) she moved to New York in 1978 to follow her dreams, but her first album came out in 1983 - this tour, which started in 2023, is a Celebration of her 40 year career in music- she is 65 :)

Great reaction! So you know, there were 1.6 million people in this crowd. The largest ever for a standalone concert for any female performer. Another record broken for Madonna. This was the last leg of her 80 stop tour. She did the show for free as a gift to her fans in Brazil. Many of which could never have afforded to go to such a show, and turned out in droves. Also, this is not a typical concert tour, it’s a celebration of her life and work. You see many throwbacks to previous iconic looks and performances. That’s why Bob the drag queen is wearing that Bridgerton dress. That’s the callback to her performance of Vogue at the MTV awards in 1990. And if you haven’t reviewed that performance, you really should. 😁

This was the last performance of this tour with an attendance estimate of 1.6 MILLION ! Madonna had just wrapped up 80 shows globally at 65 years young - QUEEN 👑

She was here in Los Angeles, the week of my bday in March of this year. I saw her twice, honestly the best bday I’ve ever had. I was super emotional when she came out with this song and the entrance. She’s influenced me musically but very much so personally. As a gay person, I don’t think I would be here without her. Not be dramatic but she truly fought for so many of us and she’s a huge prominent reason for our acceptance world wide. I went with my mom too so it truly showed that Madonna has touched so many generations and continues to do so. So her and I were emotional and my mom loved her since the 80s but couldn’t afford to go to a show of hers. But years later we got to be 2nd row and we had the best time! 🩷🩷🩷

Quickly, 1978 is when she arrived in New York to Perdue a career in dance, she then joined a band called the Breakfast Club, then had a couple more bands and by 1982, was signed by Warner Bros. Records, with her first album released in 1983 officially. It’s also important to note, close to a year or less prior to this tour, Madonna almost died due to a bacterial infection, so this was an even more meaningful and epic undertaking for her.This was a free concert also, which was awesome.

Madonna moved to NYC 1978. She started music in 1980 and broke it big in 1983. They keep changing the number, but they say the number of people was 1.6 million to 2 million people. Madonna is now in 2024 age 65 but in August she will be 66.

Почему просто нельзя хоть чуть-чуть поинтересоваться историей артистки, на которую ты сейчас делаешь обзор? Это тур был посвящен сорокалетию её творческой деятельности. И то что это в самый масштабный концерт на 1.6 млн зрителей. Это шоу в Рио было бесплатным. И множество других нюансов.
