We were there January 2023 have stayed at many of the resorts in the area this has been the best so far! Beautiful rooms, awesome beach, friendly staff immaculate grounds will definitely return! Food was decent

This resort is on my short list for this winter but seems like you can't see the ocean from anywhere unless you are actually on the beach or if you book an emerald suite which are pretty pricey. Is that the case?? Can you see the ocean from the pool or any of the restaurants??

You can only see the pools and beaches from certain suites of course (golden pool). The main pool you cant see from the rooms because of heavy foliage. I guess it's a matter of choice I guess. We felt that was a very small sacrifice for everything else that you get at VIM. We didn't stay in the room much.

Sorry. I don't know the answer to that. We didn't do those activities. I do know they have a travel agency on site (facebook.com/barrakuda.valentinimperial.5?mibextid=ZbWKwL) where you can book different activities.

This resort is nearing the price of Secrets and Excellence properties. Is it in that same class?? Has anyone been to VIM and TRS Yucatan? How would you compare them?

A question about the tipping; did you guys tip in USD or pesos? Also how much did you guys bring in cash?

We tip in USD. Depends how long you stay I guess. We brought $200 for a bit more than a week (just in case). Some people bring more, some less. Were not big drinkers so it wasn't a big deal for us.
