Lets be honest, the second fight wasnt a draw, valentina clearly won BUT it wasnt equal to her loss to the submission in the first fight (that val was still winning) this fight puts it to bed for me, she proved herself the better fighter by a sizable margin and to alexas credit she proved herself dangerous.

Fiorot is 7-0 in UFC In her third UFC fight she beat Bueno Silva easily(who won the Bantam title later) then she beat Maia convincingly(who many people considered as Valentina's hardest title defence untill the Santos fight) then she beat Chookagian(ceminara)in a #1 title eliminator fight(Chookagian fought for the title against Valentina before and got her #1 spot back after a 4 fight winning strak) Fiorot was the #1 contender now and was meant to fight for the title but Fiorot got injured and they gave the title shot to Grasso Because Grasso won the first fight and Val was the champion a long time they made a rematch between those two and Fiorot was forced to take another title eliminator fight against Namajunas(who beat Weili 2 times and only lost the title fight against Esparza since then)and Fiorot beat her too Then UFC made Grasso vs Val a trilogy because of the controversial decision in their second fight and Fiorot was forced to fight in a title eliminator fight(once more)and beat Blanchfield convincingly and now,despite she was meant to fought for the title over Grasso(without the injury) and with 3-0 in title elimination fights she better fight another top 5 first?,come on get it real dude.

Alexa Grasso seemed exhausted right from the beginning of the fight. I think those two previous wars with Valentina took a lot out of her. Valentina seemed to want it more than Alexa. Valentina literally held Alexa down for dear life because she was afraid of being defeated if the fight was left standing for too long. That said... Alexa tends to be too slow in getting her game started and she looked exhausted from the get-go. Those two previous wars with Valentina took a lot out of her mentally and physically. Saw the fight, was rooting for Alexa but something told me that Valentina was going to win. W/that said, what the hell did the Grasso camp do to prepare for the fight?. My answer is nothing. Alexa was pinned down almost everytime compared to their 1st fight. This is my problem with some of my paisanos that become champions (Andy Ruiz anyone?). They get to the top and do not prepare to stay up there. Valentina was solid and did very well. Congrats champ!.
