Thank you for your lovely presentation. Especially about applying makeup to the waterline of the upper and lower lashes. I am seriously wanting to try this out as my lashes need all the help they can get. Beautiful finished look, as always. I once threaten to shove a bunch of roses to where the sun doesn’t shine after my husband asked if I wanted some roses on Valentine’s Day. My daughters partner had just got some delivered to her and my husband saw the look on my face. He never forgot Valentine’s Day again. However it is only fair for me to add, when we first got together, on hearing that I had never got a bunch of flowers for no reason at all, he had bunches of flowers delivered to me on numerous occasions for no reason at all. I was living in NI and he was living in England at the time. That time is the only time I have said a cross word to him in 19 years and we have never argued. When I am not 100% he makes allowances and when he’s not 100%, he falls asleep.

I tried the Lancome Ultra wear concealer, but they do not have a shade light enough for me - so I have switched to the Dior Skin correct concealer in stead and I actually like this better. More coverage and less creasing - not zero creasing (I am 61) but very little 🙂

Hi Gemma lol re the lack of Valentines effort after a long time. My partner and I both have February birthdays, so we give each other a card for Valentines and that's it done lol. if we're feeling flush then we might buy something like steak for that night's dinner, but that's not always the case. It was more of a thing in the dating phase tbh and not so important to our older/wiser selves. Making it work day in day out for years is a testament to our feelings, more than any one day - as with all long term relationships tbh. Now the pink makeup thing - I like pink. I'm very cool toned with ultra pale skin, grey eyes and blonde hair. Pink looks pretty on me, but it's all about the tone. Soft pale pinks, neutral pinks and blue based pinks can look good on the eyes for me, whereas very red leaning pinks or warm pinks don't. Peaches look terrible - they are after all a version of orange, which also looks terrible on me. I'm probably in the minority as most people love peach, but warm tones can make me look ill. Neutrals for me are taupes and greys and even beige looks fine on me, but all the terracottas, burgundies, warm browns, mustards and other warmer shades look terrible on my colouring. This warm peachy look is really pretty on your more neutral skin and brown eyes, it will look great on so many skintones with some natural warm undertones too. For me though I'll be happy with the soft pinks, mauves, lilacs and greys lol. Best wishes.

So, off he goes to make my brew - whilst fiddling around with a gadget thing. 10 minutes later, said brew is brought to me and placed on a coaster - he's still fiddling with the gadget thing - off he trots. I pick up the mug only to find a teabag inside. No water. Just a teabag! 😂😂😂😂 Obviously, I need to ask for a cup of tea, water and milk next time!!! Love ya 💗💗💗💗💗💗

I prefer being in my own home on a date. Cloth napkins & tablecloth, candles, flowers, music, a movie, and take out food. all to our liking. We do get dressed up☺️. The kids go to grandmas house for a few hours or an over nighter. Restaurants are so loud we can’t hear to talk, blah. Oh, HE cleans up the kitchen which isn’t much. ☺️
