Yes of course! :) You can use a fine nail art brush dipped in nail polish if you don't have Konad plates.

The best polishes for stamping are very thick and opaque. Konad makes some special stamping polishes (try Amazon or Ebay) but regular polishes can work too. The thing is though, that some formulas may be more sheer and less vibrant. I used some regular polishes here, as you can see. It's all trial and error to find good polishes for stamping.

I personally think the way your videos are done are perfect...they're very well put together and thought out. It looks like you take your time with your ideas for theme of your videos based on the nail polish look you are doing. I personally wouldn't change a thing :)

I recommend bornprettystore(dot)com and lightinthebox(dot)com because they have good prices for Konad stamping items and they ship internationally for free. Best of luck to you and thank you for watching! :D

Hi ladies! :D I'm trying to do better with my voice overs. I'm a very shy person in general and I'm getting used to talking to myself in an empty room through a mic! And it is quite awkward. Hopefully you'll see a difference in my newer videos. It's a bit hard to change my natural voice... this is how I speak. ;D Anyway thank you for watching and subbing :D I just wanted to say thank you. :}

Great tutorial, clear and simple to follow. It's nice that you speak so softly too, makes it easy to listen to... Keep up the awesome work :) x

You *don't* have to use them if you don't want to. But Konad polishes are formulated to produce a more opaque & clear stamp. SOME regular polishes can work well... It all depends on the formula & after trial and error.
@elleandish11 жыл бұрын
Agreed :) I don't have a lot of time or the skill to freehand designs on both hands so I prefer stamping. The only disadvantage is the cost but then again plates are usually only a few dollars :D

Yup! The Konad polishes are formulated for stamping, but you can use regular polishes if you want. Some may work better than others though.. see my Konad Basics video for more info and a list of non-Konad polishes that work :)

A good line of polish to try is the Sally Hansen Insta Dry polishes. They're normally very thick.
@yolondris11 жыл бұрын
i love the way you make all the nails different
@elleandish12 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. :) Some polishes can work well, as long as they're thick. The Sally Hansen Insta Dry polishes can work. When I first started I used regular drugstore polish. Some are too sheer, or dry too quickly. It's all a matter of trial and error to see which polishes stamp clear enough. Hope that helps!

I've never used a plastic scraper unfortunately so I wouldn't be able to give you a definitive answer. My scraper is metal... it scratches the plates a bit but it doesn't affect the stamping results.

Maybe a few minutes? I think the most critical thing is actually the amount of topcoat you apply onto the nail... put down a big drop of topcoat in the center and then smooth it out quickly, putting as little pressure as possible onto the nail surface. Good luck!

Perhaps the polish dries up before it can get picked up! Try to practice doing the steps quickly... quickly apply the polish, scrape it off, and stamp. Best of luck to you! Please see my Konad basics video for more info if you haven't seen it already :)

If the image doesn't transfer.. you're probably not stamping quickly enough. Konad is a fast process... the solvents in the nail polish evaporate easily after the scraping step. Try to do it a bit faster and see if there's any difference. Report back if it works/doesn't work :)

Hi! :] I'd also like to mention one more thing. I know I can't please everyone, but I do take your feedback seriously because I know it will help me in my video development. But it makes me sad when people make blanket generalizations like "no one has these stamps so QUIT using them!" I make a point to post links on where to buy the exact plates. If you cannot buy them then hopefully you can DIY freehanded or take bits and pieces of ideas & make them your own. I hope you can understand :)
