You never said what size your flats were. Are they true to size?

So helpful i wear 38 and i bought a pair of non caged flats in 37 n a half and i waas so nervous thinking it will br small but u made me feel better that i sized down half a size plus mine are non patent so i figured they will have more stretch than patent would

Glad you found the video helpful, and good call on sizing down. Definitely the non-patent version tends to be more forgiving and will stretch more than patent.

So interesting because a lot of stuff online says to size up. I finally bit the gun and bought my first pair yesterday in a Valentino boutique two days ago (still in the box!) -- I purchased tts 7.5 and they felt so right in the store that I didn't even try another size. The salesman was very confident in the sizing too. For reference, my feet feel medium to slightly wide (toe / ball area usually hurts). Anyway, thanks for the advice and video!

I find Valentino sizing strange, I have 4 pairs, the flat sandals and caged ballet flats I have a whole size bigger, the 65mm I have half a size bigger. And the wedges are a 1/2 size bigger.

I sized down for my non-caged flats (I’m usually a 37 but I got 36.5 instead) and now I’m kinda regretting it.. It’s painful to break in! May I know if you also had the same experience with yours being 1 size too big?

I wouldn't size down for closed shoes. Instead next time put a insole. What you can do is take them to be stretched out !

I don't view the Valentino rock stud collection as a trendy shoe. Its a staple for me. Just my opinion
