I love the low-heeled Ballerines from Repetto and Ballerette. I’m short, and the heels, around 2 inches, give me a bit more confidence than the very flat styles.

My favorite sling-backs are Sezane’s Paula Babies, they’re flattering, comfortable and very walkable. Embarrassingly, I have five different pairs (I thought I only had four, then found another summer color, ivory, that I had temporarily forgotten when I re-organized my shoe rack a couple of days ago). I wish they made a closed-heel version for winter, though. In my mild climate, I can wear these most of the year, with matching tights if cool, but not cold, outside. They do have the Marcie style with covered heels, but the heels are a lot higher, 3.5 inches, I think. For some reason, I’ve never been able to wear “high” heels (3 inches or higher), they’re agonizing in my arches. I think it’s a combination of very short feet and very high arches, the slope of the sole is just all wrong for my feet. It’s the low vamp and low-set straps that make the Paulas so flattering. High-vamp shoes are on trend now, but they really visually shorten the leg and foot. This isn’t a look we petites can “afford”, especially with the skirts and dresses I love to wear. Love your channel, thanks Alice🙂

The Paula Babies are Mary Janes, too, as well as sling-backs.

Thank you for taking the time to share all these pictures with us… Unfortunately, I am so over the Chanel ballet flat and the black toed slingingback from Chanel… It’s so overdone now… I have been wearing ballet flats and actually pointed ballet flats for years . I think we all just need to find the shoes that we love on us and not just run to chase every trend… Thank you so much again!

Most loafers just can’t compare to the sleek elegance of the classic Gucci bit loafers. But, one pair of those would eat up most of my monthly wardrobe budget. I might splurge on them one day, but haven’t yet. I’ve spent a fortune already on my wardrobe in 2023, having to replace everything except socks, shoes and accessories, maybe next year! I’ve lost so much weight over the last decade that except for a few simpler skirts, my older clothes just couldn’t be sized down.

I will tell you an excellent pair you should try if you don’t want to spend all that money. Sam Edelman has an excellent loafer. That is so soft and very very comfortable and a fraction of the price!

OMG…I like how you said “leather” boots! By the way, I wonder if other women consider comfort for their shoes. I have so many beautiful boots and booties that hurt my feet when I wear them. Since I barely walk in the US, I can wear anything but if I travel to Europe I can’t walk on my shoes for more than few blocks.

All the fashion houses are copying one another, and everybody wears the same style and look like copies of one another. Sometimes I mistaken one celebrity from another, or one influencer from another, I have to rewind and even slow down the video to identify the person 😂😂😂 Come on, where’s the uniqueness of people nowadays? Don’t have to buy all these things individually, people, just share and exchange with one another and save money 😂😂😂

Look at you..what you want, afford , suits your body, ignore trends, buy timeless .. In my youth I was wearing cheap clothes, what I afforded back then. After started to earn, without advice , or copying someone , or buying what is in fashion, trending ..I have started to build a wardrobe and my own style. Got inspiration from what I saw in magazines, then online, on the street , in stores.. wondered if I like it , how I would match it with what I have and found the right stuff for me. Yes, it might look like others but that is me..comfort, simple things, more casual , always hated sparkles, logos ..Now, in my 40s , I have pieces even from 10 +years ago . Bought timeless and the basics from more common brands, stores . After 35 valued more and more the comfort and could not care less for what others wear or what is trending ...or what they think.

I follow these styles but have my own individual taste which isn’t common. You can have your own touch. Ie. I never wear black clothes nor jeans. Yet, I can appreciate this type of video and pick and choose what I like, what suits my taste and my sillouette. Some influencers and celebs WANT to look a certain way and that’s fine. There are others who don’t have the same look. This video is specifically for 1 type of look so ofc they all look the same. I loves ballet flat but you won’t catch me dead in boring ass “Chanel ballers”. I’m a roger Vivier girl through and through.

Amen! I really resonate with a few KZbinrs who are now talking more about finding your personal style rather than chasing trends… When it all comes down to it, it’s just never ending black hole of sinking your money every month into the latest and greatest. If a trend comes along that you love and feel is so much like you, keep it!

I bought a pair of Gucci loafers with luggsole this autumn. They look great but are awful on the feet. The leather is so hard that they are painful to wear. I have to plaster my feet before I put them on. Unfortunately I had unpacked them as regular Gucci loafers fit me well, or I would have returned them ASAP.

I bought a Gucci loafer , the quality is awful. The sole was no real leather, it looks more like a pressed - cardboard. It's SHAMEFUL My Zara ones are way better quality, even after 5 years wearing them almost every day. They are real leather and perfect condition The gucci is almost destroyed after 4 months ... never NEVER EVER again.
