A great comparative in-depth review! I have not tried it yet, but I am not sure why I think I will still prefer the original EDT, probably because the animalistic dry down of the dark leather. I also love the hazelnut note in the EDT. I think people usually either prefer tobacco-based fragrances or leather-based fragrances. I belong to the former category since I find leather a bit intense of a note and less versatile than other notes such as herbs and woods and even tobacco. I will definitely have to try it. Thank you for this awesome review :)

Awesome review! I actually think Uomo Intense smells a lot like the very first formulation of Dior Homme (2005) in the opening. The overall composition is of course different with that black leather note, but it's no surprise they're kind of similar given the perfumer is Olivier Polge. Great work.

I got my nose on this a few weeks ago and have been using a sample this last week, amazing scent...opens a bit like DHI but dries down to something incredible. This is a compliment monster of a frag...can't say enough good things about it. Where did you get your bottle? I've been trying to get some this past few weeks but it seems only Valentino website sells it.

Received my bottle of Uomo Intense from House of Fraser yesterday. I must say that it smells very similar to my bottle of Dior Homme Intense (2011), at least to my nose. But, surely that's a good thing? I think that my DHI might have more longevity. I've heard that there have been reformulations of DHI, so I've no idea what it smells like now. I've only worn Uomo Intense once since I received it, so I'll definitely give it a couple more run outs to see if I can pick out some more differences.

I smell a lot of DHI, I own a 150ml bottle from 2013. But this Valentino Uomo Intense - the pronunciation should sound like Uh-Oh-Mo- :) is more appealing, I would say more modern as I've been knowing DH since 2005. I love this creation, it's superb: I agree. I am wearing it despite the hot weather (in Rome it''s 35° at the moment...), even at the gym. I am not sure that's a great idea, but the air conditioning helps... ;)

Mr. Smelly you really are the best Entertainer in there frag comm ;) A nice review on this scent - I have it since it was available online, and it's worth every penny I paid - since I have a 2012 Dior Homme Intense I was able to compare them, and I like VUI much better, because it's much more smoother, because of it's sweetness.
