Tbh I think you didn't mentioned about the most important strategy of Wu chang, which is to offensively keep the ciphers not to be decoded. This is a big problem if you do not learn this because ciphers are key for survivors to win. For example Moonlit river park and lakeside village, the two big maps in the game, where the ciphers are so far apart that only teleport-type hunters like wu chang and bloody queen and deal with it. If you don not learn from strategies of teleporting to the correct place and decreasing the decoding progress you will not be able to win in high-tier matches. Yeah so this is my own experience as a long-term wu chang player, no offense :)

yup. my usual strategy is to get an elimination by the time 3 ciphers left and make each survivor one hit and prevent them from healing each other (so if there's a doc i kill her first)

This is True Especially when I struggle with Cipher Rush Because if you just chase one survivor and just kited you a minute baam Cipher Rush This is not only a problem to Wu Chang it can be also a problem to any hunters except for the hunters who can counter Cipher Rush like Joseph

Teleporting is the trickiest part of using Wu Chang. There are times where I teleport correctly and do a terror shock but there are also times I accidentally teleport to the other side of the map where there are no survivors.

I am getting into the Oreo Twins and this video really helped me figure out stuff about them! I don't have them yet... But I am saving up for the tall Asian Oreos :) I used to be a Smiley Face main, but I out he just wasn't my taste. Wu Chang really interest me, and this video is amazing at letting me figure out what the cipher machine prime is happening.(Yes, that was a reference to those really funny IDV animations.)

So, since I started being a wu chang main I just noticed black guard holds the umbrella different from the white guard. I got so surprised ngl but now it makes sense why black guard's hit is shorter. XD And I'm watching this again to see if I improved on something. Great video!

As I mentioned in 11:40 , soul waver forces them to do a calibration. So if you ring the bell before they rescue, their forced to calibrate before they can rescue, shaving off seconds

@@nighthaunter5615 You are missing a lot of the context. Let's say I follow your tactic. I hit him early after I bell him. Yes, I get a guaranteed hit, but doesn't that also give the seer a speed boost that allows him to possibly rescue before half? That would have meant that my whole delay tactics would have been a useless waste of time and the survivors get more decoding progress on the cipher. From the path he was going, since I had wanted order on them, I guessed that he would make it before I got the bell So let's play hypotheticals then. Let's say I ring the bell when I first get close to him. By the time the 10 seconds are done for the cooldown, he's already at the twin pallets by the chair. And mind you, this is at normal speed. When he's hit, he can cover more ground and that rescue is more guaranteed, meaning that I will then have to chase the prospector again and even when I down them, he will not be eliminated. Lastly, you have to remember that I was working under stress that round. That was a tournament match and I was the first one to go. You can't expect me to make completely rational decisions during that moment. I actually think that this bell ring was a better moment of rational thinking, because I got the prospector past half, and therefore, a secured elimination on the next chair.

Good question! I think he works well with hunters with good early game, like Bane or Ripper. They can compensate for his early game issues. Personal preference, but I also like being paired with Feaster, since Black Guard's fast hits allow him to keep generating tentacles for Feaster
