I love how empathetic Gary is about how his older age could impact Valeria later in life. This is what the problem with age gap relationships usually is. At 20 and 40 both people are still usually healthy and looking good (even though 20 is still very young and in the finding yourself phase.) The huge differences begin to take place once they're 40 and 60. Either way I wish them both a long happy and healthy life.

I see that, too. It's pretty obvious that his intentions towards her aren't malice, but he corrected her so many times and positioned himself in a center of discussion (it's me, look at everything I've done for you and my opinion is only valid) that it made me a bit uncomfortable. I'm an Aquarius, so is he, and I sometimes do the same. In recent years I became aware of that and I strive to change for my sake and sake of those around me. He's way older than I am so it's easier to change my behavior patterns than it must be for him. That is where being younger is an advantage - with age comes experience and with experience comes wisdom, but with youth comes adaptability and with adaptability an opportunity to learn and grow as an individual.

Yess I did read this comment on the half of the interview and I was like: hmm I don't see it. Because it was truly not rly there or not as heavy in the beginning and half. As soon as the interview got further aspecially to the end he got more and more aggressive in his way of talking and him trying to make a point. I think this feedback is a good opportunity for him to grow and learn and evolve on a emotional level too. Hope this finds him well one day 🙏

I absolutely enjoyed this, it felt like a conversation I needed to hear and it sparked something within myself. The dynamic you have is beautiful, and speaks to internal dynamics and "issues" most relationships experience. We can't always see things from the same lens, but the thing/goal/vision/purpose we are looking at is what helps us get there. Finding someone who allows you to be yourself but also challenges you to grow is so healthy. I don't think this solely applies romantic dynamics, but across the board. I am inspired to get out of my own way, to "Gary" myself into seeing bigger for my own vision but also "Valeria" myself into allowing myself to grow into my own purpose.

If their age difference is 18 years and Valeria's mom had her at the age of 19 or 20 (if I remember correctly) that means that Gary and Valeria's mom are almost the same age, early 50s. Hypothetically speaking, they could have been school mates in high school. This is probably why Gary and Valeria's mom get along well, as they are able to relate to each other. I appreciate you guys sharing your thoughts and explaining the different phases of your relationship together. I value this sort of mentorship so much. My parents were divorced when I was in high school and that shaped my perception of relationships in a negative way at that age. I’ve been divorced twice which further pushed my perception in a negative direction. At 33, I’ve finally found someone who I have this sort of connection and communication with. I have to be careful because I feel I’m needing to relearn a lot of things so that I don’t sabotage or run away from something that’s actually good. I’m very thankful for you guys and admire how deeply you both think about everything in your lives. ♥️♥️♥️ Thank you again for this.

Gary is SUUUUUCH an Aquarius and I’m sure reading this he will probably laugh cause he doesn’t seem as someone who follows astrology, but man is he an Aquarius 😄 (I’m using it the kind way, as I’m an Aquarius as well). Love how authentic you both are and showing and talking about the shitty, difficult, gritty things of your relationship but also the real meaning of love, care, interest for the other person. You feed off each other’s successes in a good way, in a way that lifts BOTH of you. The age isn’t easy, the practical difficulties do exist as you say or will come up whenever they do. But there’s more than plain sugar coated love here, there’s substance (not just because you have kids together) but because it’s not being with your other half or finding your other half or adjusting to your other half and compromising all the time….it’s because one whole person found another whole person…and you want to reach your own pinnacle in life, individually and as a unit. Great talk you guys, been with you since 2017 and still going strong 🤗❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for the conversation! I was surprised a bit you both didn't touch on a question I'm sure numerous others had; if either of your sons chose a female partner in the future with the same age gap as you (meeting their partner at 20 etc) would you be as supportive of their age difference as you are of your own? An older woman dating/marrying a man almost 20 years younger than her is still met today with different backlash than an older man dating another young female. It would have been great to hear your thoughts on this!

He is very thoughtful, but I feel sometimes he is projecting that he knows everything. It is just slight things I’m picking up on bcos of my training. This is an over generalization, but just a little red flag.

The stupid hobby comment floored me. Knowing what a true skill it is and how much patience it takes to get good at crafting often one of a kind, elaborate art pieces (garments, accessories, etc). If that was Gary's way of joking ok, but if you are able to recognize the rudeness and often ignorance of other people's comments about your age difference or something else and not be able to recognize the same in yourself then dude... why bother coloring your stupid beard? You know, it crossed my mind too. But I believe it's just the matter of us women not being used to our partners cheering and rooting for us in all aspects - including career - and not showing interest and being distant is perceived as a normal behavior, whereas hyping and cheering your woman up is looked frowned upon and is perceived as pushy and goal-getter behaviour.

overall you guys seem happy and obviously you relationship is working. with that being said i think it's obvious by the mansplaining, telling valeria what she thinks, gary thinks he is dominant and holds the correct opinions in this relationship. he kinda sprinkles in disrespectful comments and cuts here off which is weird.

The man says that he envisaged going to work and her doing whatever she wants to do. Their relationship is a little bit like he will always be the wise one and she will always be his baby girl. And I think they do so in a very loving way, and this works for them. It’s not for everyone. A lot of people want to be equals 50-50. But this is a little bit like a father figure/ protector situation where he’s looking after her as his wife/ baby girl.

Hi Valeria! I’ve been following you for quite some time 😁 I love your couple, it’s really a great example of healthy, supportive and loving relationship to me, and I think to many other people too 🥰 could you touch upon sensitive subjects of infidelity in your next podcast/Q&A with Gary, please? Really interesting to hear your perspective on this topic.

I think you guys are a great couple and hope you continue to have a beautiful married life. Having said that, I do think that in your 20s and younger, you really, really have to think about large age gaps- most people are still young and naive and can easily be taken advantage of. I was very mature all my life- but even now, I can recognize my naivety towards the world in my early and even mid- twenties.

Interesting; on the roles of male and female. I too always had traditional views on who made the money etc. I think that’s so old fashioned now. I remember when Valeria went to see a tarot reader who asked her “what is it you are afraid of (in relation to her career) look how far she has come!

Why does Gary never smile? There was a moment in this podcast where there was a huge genuine smile showing his teeth for the first time and it felt so good. Less seriousness, more lightness ♥️🙌🏾
