Thank you, Maestro. I am always moved to hear the depth of the shared artistic journeys of musicians. That unique mystery that holds to speak of sounds of 'the heart' shared within a transcendent realm of music with a Friend.

Thank you Maestro Gergiev for such a beautiful and touching tribute to an incredible artist who’s music will live on in our hearts. You are an incredible artist and human being with an immense dedication for the soul of music. I adore all the artists you have a close connection with. Never really appreciated opera until I came across Aida Garifullina. I believe you were instrumental in discovering her musical talent and artistry for the world to enjoy! 🙏🙏🙏 Love the Verbier Festival and thrilled that you’re the Musical Director!

The Russian soul has much to do with the Brazilian one. They match spontaneously as it happened many years ago during a recital break due to a sudden storm that brought next the sun shine and the performing’ s return sealing a forever deep friendship. I attended Nelson Freire ‘ s funeral a few days ago and my attention was captured by a lovely all white wreath. That was maestro Valery Gergiev tender homage to his Brazilian friend . And now I’m surprised by this moved invitation to four recitals to praise the memory of his friend and our great Brazilian pianist, Nelson Freire. Isn’t really the blessed spirits dance performed in St Petersburg?
