Sped up parts are crucial to see the how-it's-done part of the tutorial. Nothing is worse than reading a car manual that says repair engine, then turn key. sweet;) I agree with a lot of comments here: the speed up building process is an integral part of those kind of vids, so I would keep them. I am building an outpost in a meadow area right now, with swamp, dark forest and mountain nearby - and I decided to go for a treehouse this time. This is the most challenging house for me so far, because once up there in the leafage you basically can't see what you are doing most of the time, so be warned if you plan on doing something similar. I will put out a video of this build in a week or so, so behold ;)

To lead smoke out without suffocating you can build simple chimney. Build 4 poles around fire and start placing walls of chimney (highest at height of 2m pole +1m pole above fire). While placing walls on top of each other all the way to roof, you can leave half wall sized windows every other wall piece if you want. Chimney works rather reliably as long as there're no bigger than half wall sized holes in it.
