I'm gonna try to build this in my survival world, wish me luck 🤞 Edit: - I dug deeper into the ground for a higher ceiling basement, required more iron bars to stabilise the stone structures - i used core wood pillars instead of normal wood pillars for most of the layout, don't recommend it, snapping is kinda weird, needed some adjustments here and there. - stairs not covered by the roof will have weather damage, I may (?) change them to stone stairs after finishing the build to see if it looks better Edit 2: I finished it! - taller ceiling for basement works great for putting smelters and stuff without getting smoked - no way to fix the wood decay, so I just ended up using stone stairs instead - used stone paths for the wooden floors outside of the house. 10/10 build, bare minimum amount of iron used to keep the house stable. I just used more because I changed parts of the house a bit. Definitely possible in survival!

Fun survival tip for builds: If you have a raised foundation like the one in the video, use ladders to make your staircase leading into the base. Ladders act as a 45 degree staircase that you can use even when carrying too much, and enemies have no idea have to walk up them. Slow the video way down and do a lot of pausing and counting. I had to start using the creators character for deminisional size when watching videos. @mikojYT Жыл бұрын
@@anthonyzullo that's actually what I'd often do if the creators don't include the measurements. I would sometimes just download the builds but there's something special about building it on your own. Like completing a lego set or something similar!
@anthonyzullo Жыл бұрын
@@mikojYT ayo, that's the exact mindset I have. I'm not visually creative so if I build something I like, it's like learning how to do it elsewhere. Or adding ways. Basically by time I'm done with 90% of the build, like the skeleton etc, I just start doing my own thing once the function fits. I needed 1 more building for a farmhouse in my completely empty and unfurnished first base on a seed I havnt explored. Finally downloaded and fixed all the mods I want to play through, configured them all to my liking and am about to start a fresh toon and play through the end viomes. The furthest I got on survival was iron so everything will be basically as fresh as possible. This is the last building before I start recording day1 tomorrow. Gonna be super fun! For 20$ this is worth every penny. It's hard to justify buying games now. I rate games based off hours played and I'm at 500 hours and idk what tf mistlands are

Beautiful build! It looks very genuine and lived-in. Great work. Sadly, I fear the "fully functional" in the title is a bit misleading though. Even ignoring the lack of organized storage (I guess I could work with all those scattered chests, lol) the smelters and kilns would smoke themselves out and work at a very low efficiency. I really got to create a creative world so I can get better at building in Valheim. I have a survival world and I have only ever built in survival. about 6k stone and 2k wood, 3k core wood... it cleaned my material savings... i was like WTF XD
@ytubestolemyhandle3 жыл бұрын
@@BelegornHK I found roughly the same location on my map while looking for another swamp (got only 2 goddamn chains out of 4 sunken crypts) - a roughly flat land between meadows and plains. Bonus is having a natural harbor literally 30m behind the house (on meadows side) and a goblin camp about 100m out (already collected a ton of scrap metal from random attacks during the building - one time it even spawned like 7 trolls and 3 loxes - lucky me the started tearing each other lol). The good news ends there. Over the last 3 days I've wasted THOUSANDS of stone, wood and hundreds of fine wood and iron... to finally notice this house IS NOT FUNCTIONAL unlike what they claim (should've checked the video more thoroughly). Highest level workbench is like level 3 or 4 (idk, only in iron age so far), smelters and kilns have no ventilation (tho some ppl claim they don't need it). The bedroom in the preview is too far from the fire to sleep in, and the fireplace is too deep set and too big to actually roast any meat in it (unless you set your pickup range to like, 5-6m in ValheimPlus). The placement of blast furnaces and stuff is anyone's guess as they are only visible in a black&white closeup shot over like, 3 seconds (along with some bench upgrades as well so I can only guess it's behind the house, the side that's not shown in the video properly) So while I'm mostly finished building (except the basement level, the attic and the surrounding area), so maybe, MAYBE if I deduce shit properly it MIGHT work. Still gotta fix the fireplace to make it usable and one bedroom is unusable thanks to being too far from fireplace. and gotta farm more copper (this thing has a LOT of torch holders) and HEAPS more fine wood to finish this. That being said I'm cheating with ValheimPlus quite a lot, otherwise it would make me gray haired to build this all in survival mode solo.
