I spent about 40 hours to build this house (I also added some of my own decor) and I can say that the house is not practical at all. You can't put a boiler inside the house, you can't light a fire, there is no place for smoke to escape inside the house (I built a kitchen outside the house in my own save). You can't put any melting furnace (probably a mistake on my part, but there is no place for smoke to escape inside it. You can only put chests and production benches inside the house, and this shows that a huge house was built in vain :)

Great guide, thank you so much for this! One thing I am curious about, is that I have seen some videos where people essentially show the building being built from a view like this, and you see each individual piece go down as it smoothly pans. I'm not sure how in the world you would get that, unless they were to go place a piece, somehow go back to the same exact position and continue the pan and then go back and place another piece and do that over and over and over again. Not only would that be incredibly time-consuming, but also near impossible to make smooth. So how do they do it?

Two trolls would wreck that place in about 30 seconds if you step away from your keyboard. I think it looks kind of cool, which I guess is the point. And it’s neither mechanically functional in so much that it speeds you up after the fact, Nor is it safe, unless you build this in an already protected settlement with raised/other walls

i guess it's my fault for not checking the whole vid before following along, but it's really strange that the tutorial just stops at roofing. i'm new to building and i honestly have no idea how to finish the rest of it. will have to tear down a few hours worth of work, and look for another one. the build looks really cool otherwise.

The details of this game are really amazing. I avoided puttin a lot of time in building first cause i am more a fight oriented Soulsborne player, but now that i gave it some time i really like to mess around with improving my home, function and also looks-wise

Just started playing. My biggest problem is getting things to snap into place. Spent three days building a 20x10 just because I couldn’t get the floor beams, and floor tiles to snap in.
