I had to stop this video towards the end, with around a minute left. I recently started looking up build guides and tips and stuff and your channel came up. Your builds are amazing, and I wish I could get something as nice built in Valheim. Someday I will. I had to stop the video simply because this sort of building was something my father would have enjoyed seeing, and possibly living in. I kept imagining what his reaction would be to seeing it and wish more than anything that I could show him. He passed away a few years ago and your video really hit me and I just couldnt help but break down when the music started getting more intense. Everything my dad loved was in this video. He lived on the water down in Florida, lived in a house on stilts and loved sailing. I want to thank you for helping me remember my father. I am going to be bookmarking this video specifically so I can come back to it now and then. Again. Thank you.

Between the music choices, the aesthetics, and the overall sense of a grand adventure, it's almost like these build videos tell a story all on its own. The only thing I can suggest, if anything, would be to stage a scene near the end with your build full of other players drinking and milling about. But at the same time, seeing it empty leaves the mind to imagine the potential. Anyway, congrats on all the views! You deserve it! With wolf armor and silver sword and Draugr fang or higher tier, trolls are going down pretty fast, and if you walk outside, the trolls are focusing on you, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.
@lukasdubb
@lukasdubb 3 жыл бұрын
@@gtsev Any spear + bronze shield or better (buckler not tower shield) will make trolls basically the easiest enemy in the game since they are very easy to parry-block and are weak to pierce damage. Any bow also works but requires a bit more time and patience which increases the risk of pulling more enemies, but that probably doesn't matter unless you live near a more dangerous biome.

What a beautiful video! Fun fact, the Vikings were constantly rebuilding their houses, every year inserting new wood. Because wooden pillars directly inserted into the earth, and in this case even - into the water, rots easily. Also, Viking houses typically had no windows. So with the chimneys burning hot at winters, people were literally gassed inside. ;)

Which isn't to say is bad but I want something more when I build. Something that will make me proud to say: "Yeah, I built that" and this is one fine example. You and your buillds are epic my friend.

The ceiling really is too high so you won't be able to place the last few ceiling components at the very top middle. So I had to create crossbeams extending from the core wood pillars diagonally to the middle. Then a core wood half pillar from the crossbeam to the top middle. idk if that makes sense, but lemme know if you still can't get it (and want to stick with the too high ceiling) and I'll try to share some pics.

This is a really amazing build and that certainly drew me in when I saw the thumbnail, but god damn the editing is so nice in your videos. The angles were really good for capturing most of what you were doing, actually made it entertaining to watch instead of just skipping to the end to view the full structure tour like I usually would. I might be misunderstanding what you're trying to say but seeds are only used by the code to generate the world. Changes made by players are saved separately so even if you had his world seed, all you would get is his original world before changes.

This is awesome. I love the half wood block stand off on the arches. Lot's of cool bits everywhere in this build! They need to let us treat wood so it can last in the weather now. Plank burning (using fire to char the boards) to seal wood against weather was a thing the Danes used. You can find videos of it here on YT where I learned that factoid a few years ago. Also it's kinda cool. ANYWAY amazing build! Thank you for sharing it!

@@ShanLoHoops Because it is a child’s game and most of the player base is children. 53% of children aged 6 to 8, and 68% of children aged 9 to 12, are actively playing Minecraft. The game has been out since what? 2009? 2010? Of course, the game is going to have more players recorded. Minecraft is not a GREAT survival game. Its GREAT at building but it does not have the survival experience people crave in the other games I mentioned. Minecraft is now just a cash grab for Microsoft. I mean shit, when Microsoft realized the game was no longer good enough, they had to add things to the game and turned it into nothing more than an in-app purchase center. The popularity around Minecraft is forced. It is not genuine. People playing Minecraft that are not kids are not really playing it for the true sole purpose on why they were playing it. It is just a perpetual snowball effect of pure pressure of people moving on from trend to trend. What makes a game good is not just a flashy display of new things and DLC all the time. But instead, the ability to fulfill the original idea and maintain the sole concept. The game itself is just regurgitated mess of forced content.

@@TheDangerRoom1776 doesn’t matter if more kids play it bro. it’s still popular, the fact that people still play this old ass game proves that it does something right, it gives what most gamers want and that’s control...they can create whatever they want, do whatever they want...they can even go hardcore survival or just stay put building a whole damn world. you sound like someone who has a vendetta against MC being popular 😂 all those games you mentioned faded and minecraft still holds it ground...they are all good games but they can’t touch what MC did and revolutionized
