I was just impressed by how cool it was. Him hitting the log broke the branch that the log was stuck in off the other tree, fell to the ground and hit the base of the tree which knocked that over causing it to fall on splat. Pretty sophisticated for such a simple looking game.

@@deebos980 yes. You can play with up to 10 people on a server in CO-OP. Their is an option to play pvp but they don't really expect people to play that way as the real challenge is the pve enemies.

Splat, there is a lot of complexity to this...tip regarding your complaint about grass not going away and poking through - if you make a hoe you can flatten and level terrain so there is no grass, THEN build.

I have several performance issues with it. The game has a hidden FPS lock that seems to be based on GPU usage. so I was locked at 30 FPS even though my GPU was only at 70%, then I threw everythin to low and turned everything off, it went to 60 FPS, GPU never passsed 70ish % and the FPS fluctuated a lot between 60 and 45. Really weird

@@SoulWhite solid combat (similar basics to Dark Souls), deep crafting system, and a large world to explore. I'm playing currently with 5 others and we've built a longship and established a solid beachfront longhouse. There is even a horde defense system that seems to occur every 10 days or so where they attack your established base.

Yep. The common wild boar aka Javalina/Razorback are a constant menace in New Mexico. Open season hunting all year with no license required. Same with rabbits. Good thing both are tasty eating.

Very cool ! I like the justification for re learning everything as remembering life in the material world, feels appropriate. the mechanics look a tiny bit finicky but that's alright really, it's early access so it has lots of room to progress and in its current state it's quite engaging already.

I've beaten the first boss twice now (he drops useful loot). 3 hours played and my only death was a tree that fell on me after getting domino'd over by a tree I had cut down. Lol. This game is fun, and I'm really excited to fully explore its depth!

The evolution of pigs is insane. If you let tame pigs into the wild they WILL survive and they WILL become wild in a generation or 2 turning into wild hogs. It is insane and explorers really made use of this fact when they travelled to places where they expected to stay for a few years. Just let out a bunch of pigs and you will have food next year and even more the year after that.

This is yet another game that popped out of nowhere for me, i guess I'm just not staying up to date on game news. I seen this #1 seller on steam yesterday but when reading it, it seems like it really is meant for group play and i play solo so didn't feel it would be a good game for me. Thinking ark survival. But seeing you play it, the solo play doesn't seem too bad. I'll just keep an eye on it's development to see where this goes. Looks cool, and an interesting art style.

You can make the grass disappear by using a hoe to flatten the ground you build on. Since it acts on the landscape you probably don't even need to pick up the floor.

angularity is definitely not the word you were looking for... it is just the noun form of angular. the proper way of saying it would to just say it is at a different angle. pitch can also be used to describe specifically how steep a roof is.

So the Club is basically worthless as the Stone Axe does more damage, I like that, too many games nerf "tools" just to make the early weapons viable. I mean seriously what sounds more threatening to you? A stick or a stick with a rock attached to it?

here is the thing though the axe barely does anything to skeletons but the club does increased damage to them so when clearing tombs the weapon you want is a fully upgraded basic club as well as a shield so its still useful up until you get bronze and can make a proper mace to fulfil its job instead or until you get a fuck ton of dear heads and core wood to make the AOE hammer which is super useful for clearing early game dungeons

If you make a garden hoe, you can raise and flaten dirt. Remove grass and make paths.. The mining pick will even make a hole in the dirt. You can dig!

Northmen typically had beards, but they didn't _all_ have over-the-top beards. All the literature I've read suggests such, which have been from various scandinavian historians. I had to go double check my understanding when you made that claim.
