Valheim - Plains Farm Timelapse Build

A farm in the plains biome. Took approximately 14 hours to design, 15 hours to record & 10 hours to edit.

First of all, I would like to say thank you. Because of you, and this video specifically, and about 4 days total, I completely recreated this base, along with the dock you made. Man that was great. Everything is so nicely spaced out and well designed. I've not played Valheim in ages, but I felt like I learned so many more good building tips, including those finicky roof designs on circular foundations. mat farming is not very time consuming in valheim, i have a survival plains base probably 10x the size of this build and gathered every mat used: thousands of stone & wood and hundreds of tar & iron

Building with stone is easy. It has snap points, just like everything else. The thing you gotta watch out for is that it's thick so it might look bigger than you anticipated.

It's the freecam command on a second computer, using SkToolbox mod to enable it on local server.

It's using the freecam command, but I'm using 2 computers, one for building and one for the camera. The footage is just sped up after recording.

Been quite a while since I"ve played Valheim so I might not remember, but don't the seas get really choppy, high waves when it storms? Would that go underwater during a storm or is it just high enough?

Such good building! Too bad my world storms 90% of the time and the waves tower 10 feet above me and carries me away even when I'm on the shore in my house when the water clips through my walls.. The waves are as if I'm in the middle of the ocean when it storms.

I feel like stamina needs to be removed from building, it slows down the process for no real reason and bloats the time it takes to do anything, as well as makes you waste more food.

If you're going to do a build in creative mode, you might as well use fly. Otherwise you're just creating more work for yourself always having to put down platforms. Also, what is it with all these builds and no one uses core wood? I know it's not nearly as flexible (or easy to use for smaller/tighter curves) as regular wood structures, but it'd look nice and work so much better for tall supports than regular wood. Plus I think it'd look nicer for the railing.

it's call dev mode. The mode is in the name of the command! And if you're going to take the time to spell out EVERY OTHER WORD, then at least spell out "you're". It's not that hard and you wouldn't waste much time including 2 letters and an apostrophe.

It is doable without mods. Far as I can tell only debugmode and devcommands are used. If you are in a solo world or are listed as an admin you can change your environment settings. The amount of stone procured isn’t to hard to come by. One black metal chest is 1600 stone. He used under 6 chests. Could farm that in about 6 hours if you get some good plains, plus you will have gotten the tar you needed too.

@@zachrohlfs isn't too hard* too is a descriptor, to is a direction. Also, how are you calculating how much stone he used? Just the amount he'd need to raise the ground to do what he did is not able to be calculated unless you were there when he built it.
