What's your opinion on only body sparring in gyms. The late brendan ingle was heavily into this. A head guard only offers cosmetic protection, but with regards to brain rattle it's worse in comparison to not wearing a guard. Brain damage is serious over time. The head is not designed to be hit.

I dont buy that shit at all about the headgear not protecting the brain. Spar a couple rounds without headgear and you’ll have a headache if you guys are going hard. I had some hard sparring sessions wearing cleto reyes headgear I deadass had no headache or any type of pain. Not saying that was not bad for my brain but comparitvley its not even close.

Light sparring with no headgear is the best way in my opinion. Saw a Kevin Rooney interview a couple days ago where he talks about headgear giving boxers a false sense of security which causes them to neglect defense and take more punches 🥊

​@@FightingTemple Defense is the best form of attack, head, knee & foot movement all in sync & placement before you even attempt to throw your first punch, the idea is to just throw single punchs to counter attack your opponent, make them chase you arround then unload in short quick bursts to build up your stamina & control your breathing.
