The first world war was a very complex battle, but sadly, Is starting to be forgotten. People are looking at The second world war, There are more games and documentaries about the second war, This game, This story, Is often looked over by many other games. Thats why World War 1 should be thought of more, It has more story. I really don't understand why people are forgetting the Battle of World War 1. Well, Thats only my opinion...

Qwerty Manova 1914-1918 is a good book, so is assassination of the archduke, although that focuses more on the archduke and his family, but most of all I’d recommend the real written memoirs of any soldier in World War One, Storm of Steel, a German book, comes to mind

saba Gogiberidze That's sort of the point: Trench warfare meant mud, and, um OTHER semi-fluidic stuff that impeded movement. Both Erich Maria Remarque (All quiet on the Western Front) and Ernst Jünger (Storm of Steel) relate how men would find themselves trapped in mud during frontal assaults, completely at the mercy of machine gun and shell fire. Some even died when they fell in to shell holes, filled with water so contaminated by chemicals, it was a race between drowning of poisoning as the cost of death.

Just think this war occured exactly 100 years ago! It is now 2014 and the First World War started in 1914. Sad that its not really remembered much, world war 2 is looked at more. But World War 1 was very brutal and more people died in the first world war than in the second. More Brits, French, Germans died in the First World War then in the second.

The escalation to WW1 was since Franco-Prussian war (where germany just traied to make experience in a war against a colonial power). Then in 1914 was the assassination and they used it like a casus belli. treaty of versailles was a big blow for central powers beacuse the A-U empire was divided in smaller nations (it was the end for A-U) and Germany was so limited to do a lots of thinks (for example they had a military restriction etc...) and this was a first step to WW2 because then came Wall street crash of 1929 and it was a good think for nazism. In 1933 they where elected and it was done...
