So I'm a grown-ass man and here's where I am. "Homewrecking" is not the same thing as cheating. Pursuing a married person when you know they're married is still, imo, a moral failing, but you're not yourself breaking trust unless you're also friends with the person's SO (and even that is a betrayal but betraying an acquaintance or friend is not not on par with a romantic relationship or marriage). So unless Leslie is lying and actually did cheat on Edison while as far as he knew they were still engaged I don't think her sin was anywhere near comparable to Wendy's. Wendy was also recently married, which to me makes it even crazier since you don't have the excuse that "well, we've changed and grown in different ways since we married" if it's only been a few months and not, like, decades. And if someone is game to participate in an affair outside of marriage, they're probably going to do it with one "homewrecker" or another eventually. Also, I'm old enough to know that many, maybe most, relationships are fraught and difficult to maintain. I'm divorced myself (although not due to infidelity, it was due to mutual distrust with a tinge of contempt). I've known many people who have cheated and I think there's something very selfish about it but I mean we're also all selfish sometimes. Sometimes we're all the bad guy and everybody can justify what they do in their own minds. I don't know if Leslie is being completely honest with her viewers or not, and it's really something that's unknowable. Either you trust her or you don't. I definitely wouldn't have expected her to be involved in a sex scandal (and to be clear, I don't think this is all just about an emotional connection--although it doesn't really matter, the betrayal of trust isn't just from sex but it's from anything that you do selfishly and without regard for the other person). It is weird how much people risk for what seems like really stupid things though.
