There is no cheating involved at all. It is all about having sick stats by releasing Einherjar with specific items. Doing so will grant you the stat increasing items in vast quantities. At peak performance some characters like Freya can execute direct assaults against just about any boss... solo. Don't accuse people of cheating if you don't have any idea how to properly play the game.

When you hit an enemy that is lying on the ground, they pump out "purple" gems. These gems refill your AP bar. If you use the ability "Spirit Control" the number of purple gems increases. Just keep them on the ground and keep pumping out attacks that hit multiple times, like Rufus' Killing Thorn. On larger enemies you can actually keep a single attack chain going infinitely.

I think that Freya is one character that you find. I know that Dylan is one of the main characters and Valkyrie is Alicia combined with the other 3 Valkyries. Awesome video

It's when you kill the enemy leader (in this case, boss) in less than a certain amount of "time", indicated by the 5 dots down the right hand side of the screen...you have to kill the leader before the first dot disappears to get a Direct Assault. Time only passes when you do certain things, like move or attack. You should get it, it's a great game :)

I was ground-bouncing them. Each ground bounce gives 8 AP, and Rufus's Thunder Fall can ground bounce 3 times per use.

I used that combo my first time through. It's very safe! I got bored with how long it took to kill everything, though, so I started experimenting with more offensive setups and learning the math behind them.

LOL! Good laugh. It only takes an hour in Seraphic Gate to go from 1 to 99 with the right stuff. The factors that did those big numbers are skills and equipments.

the gate is unlocked before the final battle with lezard. You can either leave the tower and go to the seraphic gate, or complete your game, start a new game+ or whatever and play through most of the game, and when that region becomes open (i believe) you can go to the Seraphic gate. Just don't beat LeZard - leave the temple, you can go there.

For everyone who is so confused: this is not his first play-through of the seraphic gate, u unlock the characters he is using by beating the bosses in the gate. he's prob beaten the gate a few times now and thats why his states r sooo fucking high. prob farmed sunflower seeds and golden eggs to.

Yup! And to the guy above, you can remove Alicia at any time. You just always need someone on Square because that's the leader's position. You can have a party consisting of any 4 characters you want.

VP2 has (probably) the best visuals of ANY game on the PS2. VP lenneth wouldn't work on the PS2 unless they did a remake with updated graphics and stuff...I'd buy it if they did, though!

@ShiroMatsuro In Seraphic Gate, you really have to use your head to maximize your damage against bosses.. Effects of each accessories(dragon rib, etc), skills(fist of iron, etc) and sealstones are very important. Status ailments are not there to kill you, they are also useful in battle. Example, if your character has been silenced, the accessories "Bone mask, Protection shade, etc" can help you to maximize your damage to a foe. Frailty status ailment, can help you also..I hope I help you ^_^

One of the easiest ways to farm crystals is to go to the Palace of the Venerated Dragon or Crawsus Forest Ruins and fight the Dragon Zombie or Hydra. Equip Rufus with Killing Thorn only and another character with a knock down ability. Have no SC weapons on, use the knock down character to lift either enemy then have Rufus juggle them non-stop to max out crystals.

By Defeating the first boss in Seraphic Gate you get Both Dylan and Leone back in the party ... by Defeating the Second yo get all the 3 Valkyries back ( Lenneth, Hrist and Silmeria ) ... by defeating the Third you get Lezard back ... by defeating the fourth you get Freya ... and the last boss unlocks the Valkyrie ... the one that responds to the fusion between the 3 valkyries and Alicia.

go to the menu and head to party and choose release enheiriar. some enheiriars that join you have to be at a certain level to be released i recommend leveling them up at a very high level that way when you release them you'll get better items.

good job! I have a question about an enemy in seraphic gate, it is like the hydra everytime i get close to beating it it heals itself everytime and I tried using arngrim but the frailty isn't working on it and i cant find any info on this enemy anywhere.

The seraphic gate should be there once you save at the last save point. Of course, that means you have to walk all the way back OUT of the last dungeon to get to it.

did you release the einherjar with the best equip?for the 4 h.warrior you could heve 2060 Str boost for freya and3465int for rufus. And for the Soul Crush, the only boss who had a chance to do one was the etherealqueen cause she was alive after the first charge but she can't attack cause when she has a broken part she has to regenerate it. With a similar equip and set-up using only dylan i DAed all the bosses at the 3th runthrough(no release)

If you are having a hard time killing the first time .. use the following setup of seal stones. 200% HP Recovery - All Status Up - Yggdrasil Bless Ice Attack 150% ~ Fire Attack 50% Be sure to have a Metabolizer in each character or instead the First Aid Skill, you should get an easy kill this way !

Believe it or Not.I finished the Seraphic Gate 10 times without any walkthrough's at all. i got the AngeL Slayer +10,000 ATK +10,000 MAG.this weapon have a ultimate damage of all divine enemies(God Destroyer).the treasure chest must been found near at the place of ethereal queen 5th floor.

Would it be too much to ask about the attack setups used on the characters? For example, it looks like for Freya it's Victoy Sword Followed by the 42 point 14 hit combo move (name escapes me here) with thunder fall from Rufus at it's end. What is Dylan's opener and did I get the rest right?

Your right Marty81 they would have to totally build the game from scrap probily, keep the story line, make it full 3D etc. The graphics, are the best besides Final Fantasy, maybe even better. Oh Ethereal Queen looks darker than that of SO:TTEOT? Concerning VP: Lenneth where are the sealstones to unlock the characters/bosses of Seraphic Gate, oh and you don't get to keep anyweapons from the last game. (PAL) I am getting this when it comes out in September in the UK.

Your Withdraw number increases by 1 for every sealstone you restore. Just restore some of the cheap ones, like Transvestal Law and the High Jump sealstone. Marty doesn't use Brahms since Full Swing does more damage, but Brahms can do more damage with other strategies.

I only got 50 hours into the game. Leveling doesn't make a difference this far into the game. If you want to get those insane numbers, go to GameFAQs and look at the Silmeria board. Look at the first thread you see. It will tell you which sealstones, skills, and equipments are good for each boss. I was doing 20K per hit, but with the right setup, it moved me from 20K to 300K per hit.

Just use the equipment, skills, and sealstones that I use. It helps to release einherjar too.

Just take note that being defensive in Seraphic Gate is going to get you nowhere. Some people prefer to be part defensive, but I go pure offensive. I can take any boss out in one turn, but if I get hit once, I'm dead.

This game is insanely hard. Obviously he makes it look easy, this is with nearly maxed out stats, best equipment etc. You can replay the game up to 50 times and it gets even harder each time. I'm guessing this is a 0 or 1 crystal run.

Sage Quartz, you can get them from Highlanders or Persistent Pursuers, Ravine Caverns or Yggdrasil, though I suggest Ravine Caverns as a better choice, break off THEIR left arms, not your left, forgot where to get the dragon horn though...

AWWW I SCREWED UP MY CHARS STATS!!! I got every ultimate weapon except angel slayer and some.... I also have all the secret characters, yes I cleared SG once.. I released all my Einherjiar but gave the stuff to other Einherjiars, whom I released, so basically I have no stat ups my lvls are valkyrie 64 freya 67 hrist 73 rufus 84 but the attacks are weaker than urs..any hint you can give me to catch up with yoour damage points??? thx :3

I think the best way is to just Direct Assault a bunch of weak enemies, and knock crystals out of them (double/triple edge) while doing so. Sadly it's been months since I've played this game :/

It's PERFECT RELEASE man (: I've made it too, but Rufus was more strong than this (30.000 ~ 35.000 per attack) anyway, it isn't important lvl 5 or lvl 99 however, you'd give for their the best sword/stave/bow in game 10x man for video (y)
