My grandmother was born just west of Agrigento in Montaperto. I played a Europe guitar tour, 17 concerts in 6 countries with the last concert being in my cousin's big house in Montaperto. My other cousins live in Villaggio Mosé, San Leone and Aragona. I stay with some of them when I visit, unless I want to be alone. Then I do hotels in downtown Agrigento. There is no place on earth like Sicily.

I'm not sure anyone could comprehend the effect you've had on us here in lockdown, especially during winter storm seasons. You transported us to a world of bright sun, beautiful beaches, and wonderfully historical architecture. I may never get the chance to be there in person, but thanks to you, so many now know a bit of how it feels to walk those streets. I thank you for the time and effort you put into these videos, they are truly wonderful. Best wishes from America!

It's incredible, isn't it? To think that the Greeks made it as far as Sicily in the 8th Century BC is mind-boggling. They also established colonies on the Italian mainland. Truly impressive.

INCREDIBLE !! The ability, however derived, of the Greeks to get those boulders up there, carve them, and get the 12 ton cubetangles up on top of the columns defies imagination as well as anything we have tried to figure out. Another mind-blowing journey from the master.

As to getting there, against all advice I walked about 20 minutes downhill from Ag. train station to the site. Was much more pleasant than bus logistics, some parts on an abandoned roadbed. When ready to exit you are at an opposite end of the site and a different busy highway beacons your return, but I was afraid it could be pedestrian unfriendly so backtracked endlessly. Lesson was, scout both routes in google earth.

I'm blessed to be one of the first people to watch this video just published today. Thanks for the incredible video. You put so much in your work and you are the expert on Southern Italy and especially Sicily. I'm a history buff and enjoy watching it and will watch it over and over again. I studied prophecy and liked your mention of the Bible books like Daniel, etc, when written and the time "the temple of heracles" was built. Your subtitles last long, great, and gives us enough time to read.

Superb video! The close caption was not too distracting and made everything "meld" together so that I felt as if I was your companion on a personal tour with a highly professional trained academic versed in the "valley temples!" Incredible camera work! Both my paternal grandparents are from Santa Margherita de' Belice,'....which is a small town in Agrigento! As I was experiencing your tour I was wondering if my grandfather "Cologero" may have walked these very same paths or steps as a child in the 1890's or early 1900's, before he emigrated to America. I still have his marriage and baptismal certificates although I understand the original town was destroyed by earthquake years ago! My most sincere thanks for this, my wife and I will seriously consider a trip to Sicily (I have been to Syracusa and Messina only briefly) but was on a group tour. I was still impressed by the Cathedral in Syracusa that had been first a Greek temple, then a Byzantine church, then a mosque and then a cathedral again with the Greek columns filled in with concrete as part of one of the walls. It left QUITE an impression on me! Again, mi complimenti and Mille' Grazie compare'!

A tall figure matching the Courier's description approached from the western path directly ahead of him. He wore a greatsword on his hip along with crossed body satchel. The Courier was dressed mid House Byllria colors. Procampur, second most prominent Organization. If afforded him respect from all pass-byers, as they parted before him. Here. Laden thought he would have to deduced, every notable person. When in actuality, the mark just holds up a sign. Laden moved to the left side of the building he was currently perched. Leaping over the side while grabbing a rung - using only the rails, he slid down the ladder and landed lightly. Morran stepped out of the alley midst a bustling thoroughfare. The courier was slightly mid his right. - The Mark turned left, then began to move away from him. The Marketplace was packed, with people moving amid random intervals. Vividness, that challenged the fashionable spectrum.- verdant amid reds who complimented fiery neutral.

the excess of commercials that constantly interrupt the video causes the viewer to lose interest in the video and not see it in its entirety. youtube has to improve that, they are not stupid and I imagine they have excellent programmers. they can perfectly put a small band that does not take up much space at the bottom where they put their ads. youtube, stop being assholes that that way you will lose more followers.🤔😡😠
