Hi! I like a lot your videos, the most, the technical stuff. After watching almost each of them I think (maybe I am wrong) that you don’t have any explaining how to break in and tune a DLE like engine with a Walbro carburetor. It would be great it you can make a video explaining your method and tricks tuning those carburetors for a reliable fly. Greetings from Switzerland

So if you had to choose between the dle 40cc and the vvrc 40cc for your valiant what would you do? This is my delema.

That's a tough one, both are good engines. I think I'd go with the VVRC version if I had to choose. It just feels a little stronger-running and seems a little better made. It's going to be hard to go wrong with either of these engines.

Sir, which oil do you use for this engine and what is the mixing ratio?

I use nothing but Redline synthetic racing oil and mix to the specifications that came with your engine. They can be different so go with the spec for your engine.

Usually a Vess 20B with all my 35 and 40cc engines. Love its wide range of performance.

Yes, it does seem like a 20x8 but with a wider performance range.

Tom, what is your starting procedure for this engine?

Choke it until it pops, then choke off and flip it a few times, let it idle for a minute or so to get a bit of heat in it.

@@flyingrcdotnet Thanks Tom. Throttle on full while choke is on? Been reading a few different things and it doesn't mention a start up procedure in the manual.

I do have the throttle wide open while choking but am very careful to have the plane restrained, just in case.
