I actually love your gothy feminine style! It’s a welcome contrast to the common androgynous alt style I tend to see and adhere to (which is cool too but I want to experiment more with feminine clothing). Mandiblebone is an awesome creator if people want more of a punk androgynous/masculine look!

Punk and diy are synonymous goth was born out of post punk and almost all of the early goth fashion was diy until romantic goth(mid to late 80s). With that said music is a necesary part of the culture because without the music the inspiration for the fashion would not have happened.

Dude, do not feel bad at all for what these people are saying. I used to be so afraid to explore my style and what I wanted to wear because if I called it "alternative", "goth", "emo", I'd always get comments telling me that it wasn't. But if I said it wasn't, then I'd get people saying that my style DID fit into those categories, and that's what it was called. I was also terrified to show people my music because I'd be afraid of people telling me I wasn't an actual rock fan or alternative music fan. But eventually, I found an easy solution to all of that; I stopped caring about what other people called what I liked. Of course I still get embarrassed when people tell me I'm wrong, but.... Tbh, it stopped affecting me as much when what I wore/listened to just made me happy. I wear what makes me feel confident and happy, I listen to what makes me happy, and I do what makes me happy. I choose to be unapologetically me than let people drag down my happiness. Basically: what you make makes you happy, and labels don't matter that much. People like to make a big deal of it, but they're just searching for drama. I happen to love your channel and your style. It's what inspires me to be confidently me! And your outfits/creations are absolutely gorgeous. In my opinion, your enthusiasm for the things you love makes them even more beautiful

I have been binging your channel over and over this past month and your diy videos motivated me to make a hellton of patches and sew them onto my patch pants and also to start work on a battle jacket (i watched your video about the spider lapel leather jacket like 13 times so far and I know I will again!!!!!!) and I just sewed my last patch onto my battle jacket, and I need to tell you just how amazing your videos are for handsewing and crafts like these. The very humanly slow pace makes it very easy to keep up with everything you're saying while also multitasking and it's helping with bettering my attention span and you're overall so lovely and comforting and I love your passion for everything you show in your videos!!! About people being rude and such, I once commented on someone’s pin on Pinterest, the pin was a picture of their queercore battle vest and I thought it looked awesome so I said something along the lines of “that’s really cool, it reminds me of my own jacket” because it had similar patches and pins as my jacket. Then, for some reason, someone commented that I was a poser. To be clear, I never claimed to be a part of any alternative subculture, and even then, I’m actually getting into a few different punk styles. I wasn’t hurt by the comment, it was just kinda weird lol
